Party Favors by Sariah Wilson: Everly has been working her butt of as the assistant to a cold and indifferent boss at a big event management company doing pretty much all the work for him and getting none of the credit, so when the opportunity for her to make a name for herself finally arises she has no choice but to crush it. After totally nailing the presentation and wowing the client Everly needs to get her hands on as much knowledge about Monterran culture as she can if she intends to make this sweet sixteen party the royal success that she has promised it to be. Well call it pure luck or maybe it was divine intervention but it would seem that things are really looking up for Everly when she runs into a devastatingly handsome stranger while at the bar that night who just so happens to be from her beloved Monterran kingdom. Max Colby has recently relocated to the States and could use some help settling in, he jumps at Everly’s offer to be his New York City guide in exchange he will teach her all about the traditions and customs of his land. As the two grow closer Everly cant help but falling more and more for Max, the only problem is can a guy like Max ever actually falls for a simple girl like Everly?

I love reading Sariah Wilson books, there is just something about her writing that always grabs me and Party Favors was no different. I absolutely loved this cute and playful Princess Diaries style romcom. There was so much to love about this book that I found it hard to want to put the book down without wanting to read just one more chapter. I really liked that this was a clean and sweet romance, there was low to no drama and a general feel good element that came with reading Party Favors.

I loved both main characters and getting to see them falling in love as the book progressed was just perfect. Everly was such a cute and relatable leading lady. We really get to see her character grow as the story progresses, she finds her voice and confidence and I really liked this about her character. Aside from being totally obsessed with the royal family of Monterran especially Queen Kat, Everly is pretty much every fan girl when they find something they love and are passionate about, and girl really I cant fault you for that. As for our hero, well Max was a pretty great guy, I loved how charming he came across without seeming arrogant. I really liked the fact that Max was patient when it came to convincing Everly that she was worthy of love and he really took his time to woo her.

The chemistry between these two characters was just lovely, they had such a nice slow burn element to their love story and I love the build up. I really liked the fact that they gradually fell in love and it wasn’t some insta love story, they got to know each other and grow their feelings from there. I will say that the third act break up was a bit dramatic on Max’s part but I did like the way everything unfolded. As far as spice goes this book was pretty low in that department but I really did not mind it at all. There was some really nice supporting characters and I loved getting to see Queen Kat and getting to see Everly have her low key fangirl moment, this was just perfect. I have to say though my favourite was Vella, she was just the person that Everly needed to keep giving her a push and the subtle encouragement.

All in all I really enjoyed reading Party Favors, this book is a definite must read if you are looking for a cute and playful romcom!

For as long as she can remember, Everly Aprile has been obsessed with the Monterran royals, especially Queen elegant, self-possessed, and living a fairy-tale romance. Her royal to-do list is in order. She’s revamping her life and learning to believe in herself. Maybe, just maybe, there’s a chance for fate to bring Everly her happily ever after after all.
