I love Michelle Smart’s stories because they are dramatic, emotional and highly entertaining adventures. Alessia is captured perfectly; her thoughts, dreams and desires all laid out. She has an air of innocence and young-ness about her but also shows signs of maturity. Alessia’s loyalty to her family is well described and I could feel her being pulled in both directions like a tug rope.
Gabriel was awesome! Loved him! I also loved that he nailed the family perfectly in his sum up of them. Gabriel knew the right thing to do and took charge immediately. He honestly thought his marital terms and conditions were for the best. Michelle Smart captured him perfectly and I was looking forward to him losing control because I could see it and feel it coming. Gabriel’s declaration of love to Alessia was just perfect!
Pregnant Innocent Behind the Veil was the perfect follow up story to Book 1! It was also the perfect stand alone with enough summary of what happened there but I remember clearly loving Book 1 with it’s SUPER dramatic opening chapter. I can not wait to find out what fate has in store for the third sibling and future King, Amadeo in Book 3.
