In Rescued by her Mr. Right (Bondi Bay Heroes #4) by Alison Roberts , Harriet ‘Harry’ Collins has found it hard to get back to her old life after the injury she suffered, but when Jack Evans offers to help her, she accepts. Pushing her to her limits, Harriet starts to believe she can do anything, even make it back on the Specialist Disaster Response (SDR) team she was once a part of. However, that’s not the only thing Harriet wants. Will she give Jack a chance or will she walk away from her shot at happy ever after?
“Harry? How did you end up on this ledge?” He pushed up the visor of his helmet as he unhooked the gear and then held the winch line clear, giving the winch operator the ‘thumbs up’ sign to retrieve the hook. “I thought the job had been called in from up at the track.”
“Oh, my God…” Harriet’s jaw dropped. “When did you start working on the choppers, Jack?”
“Months ago.” His tone was clipped. Cold, even? “Fill me in, Harry.”
“This is Eddie Denton. He’s sixty-three. He slipped and fell after trying to get his dog out of trouble.”
The first three books of this series are engrossing and fast-paced and this story is no different. Really, right from the beginning, this story had me hooked and had me liking the heroine immediately, as she’s been through so much and still does everything she can to help someone in need, even if it ends up setting back her own recovery. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine come face-to-face for the first time where this story really takes off, as both are surprised to see the other and the tension is thick. What is Jack’s problem, especially when he comes off as a bit cold when he discovers the person that called in the accident?
As for the dialogue, it was intense due to the medical emergencies these two handle and the main characters back stories, especially that of the heroine because she’s recently been let down by someone that claimed they loved her and it’s not easy for her to put her trust in another man. Moreover, the heroine is strong, courageous and I liked that she gave Jack a chance because she wants to achieve something she once thought was impossible — getting to again be a part of the SDR team. Will Harriet achieve her goal? How far will she have to push herself to be fit enough? I also liked how she handled her ex and stood up to him because her growing relationship with Jack — a guy who is younger than her — is important no matter what anyone says otherwise. While the hero, he’s a good guy, confident, charming, kind, caring and I liked how determined he was to help Harriet because he believes in her and believes she can do anything she puts her mind to. Really, he’s good for her in lifting her spirits and giving her hope that she can get back to her old self.
“No…” Jack was grinning as he looked down at her. “That’s not what I meant.”
Oh…the love in that look. The promise… “What did you mean?”
“How long will it take to make up for those missed opportunities? To say a million times how much we love each other?”
“Oh…” Harriet was drowning in that gaze. “I think it might take the rest of our lives. Until we’re old and grey, anyway…”
Overall, Ms. Robert has delivered an engrossing and heartfelt read in this book that had me sympathizing with the heroine because of all that’s she’s been through, but had me smiling because of all she achieves; the chemistry between this couple was strong and leads to some delightful romantic moments that prove how much these two care about each other; and the ending had me loving the way they work things out between them because no way are either of going to let anything stand in the way of them being together. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up nicely because of the heroine’s surprise and how happy these two are together. I would recommend Rescued by her Mr. Right by Alison Roberts, if you enjoy the friends to lovers trope or books by authors Meredith Webber, Amalie Berlin, Robin Gianna and Marion Lennox.

Dancing in the best man’s arms…
…is her biggest risk of all!
In this Bondi Bay Heroes story, injured nurse Harriet Collins agrees to let hunky paramedic Jack Evans get her fighting fit and back on the Specialist Disaster Response team. After all, it’s purely platonic, right? Plus she’s already nursing a broken heart. But when she’s the bridesmaid and Jack’s the best man at their teammates’ wedding, Harriet wonders if it could be more…
