Resting Scrooge Face by Meghan Quinn: After having her heart well and truly crushed the last thing that Nola needs or really wants is to be surrounded by over the top joy and cheer, but alas she is well and truly out of luck in this department because when it comes time to celebrate Christmas the cute little town of Bright Harbor goes all out!

With all of this over the top cheer Nola can’t help but find her mood getting more and more sour and to make matters worse the boy that broke her heart all those years ago still lives in town and Caleb is looking as hot as ever! Fully content to wallow in her own little bubble of Christmas hate, Nola is pleasantly surprised when she is given a mysterious letter by the local postman from a fellow scrooge! And so beings a cute flirtatious friendship that begins to bring more and more smiles to Nola’s face… but what will happen when she finds out the identity of her mysterious pen pal?

“Just remember, sometimes people come back into your life for a reason.”

Absolutely brilliant, Resting Scrooge Face was the best way to kick of the Christmas reading season. This sassy cute second chance romance was everything that I love about Quinn’s writing style all wrapped up in one fast cute read. As always Quinn packs in the charm in setting her novel in the Christmas crazy small town of Bright Harbor, Maine. After first meeting Nola in Untying The Knot I was eager to get my hands on this Bisley siblings book and let me just tell you I was not one bit disappointed! In fact if anything I wish this book had been a bit longer!

“I mean, I ate a gingerbread cookie last night and I liked it. I think these letters are having a reverse effect. They’re making me feel all ooey gooey inside.”

There was something very sweet and Hallmark-ish about this story and I was so here for it! I love the fact that Nola and Caleb had this past but neither wanted to really get into it so they got a bit of a helpful push by two meddlesome elves! I just loved getting to see Nola and Caleb getting reacquainted with each other through their letters and really being able to be honest and true with their words and feelings. I really enjoyed getting to follow these two as they defrosted their hearts and found their way to their true happily ever after, tinsel, mistletoe and all!

Bright Harbor was just the cutest! I loved this little town and its Christmas crazy, but more than anything I loved Arden the mail man that get this love story into motion! Gosh Arden was just a hoot! With he help of Grandma Louise, these two oldies had me giggling non stop!

Resting Scrooge Face is a total must read! This cute, holiday, small town romance will have you giggling non stop and leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy!

After a bad breakup, Nola wants nothing to do with Christmas, especially in her quaint hometown of Bright Harbor, Maine. Infuriatingly charming and cheery, Nola’s surroundings only worsen her sour mood.

To make matters worse, Caleb, the boy who broke her heart years ago, is all grown up and still living in town. While doing her best to avoid him, Nola bumps into the local mailman, who gives her a mysterious letter. And when she finds that the writer is a fellow Scrooge, she can’t help but feel her spirit lifting.

Nola writes back to her new pen pal—who, unbeknownst to Nola, is none other than Caleb. When Caleb gets a response hand delivered by the mailman, he’s intrigued by the mystery sender. A friendly correspondence develops—and quickly turns flirtatious.

Although Nola and Caleb claim they can’t stand each other, they can’t deny the simmering attraction that brought them together in the first place.

Can these nameless pen pals write their own love story—or will they be too caught up with the ghosts of their Christmases past to find a future together?
