In Rush by Maya Banks, Mia Crestwell has had a crush on her brother’s best friend Gabe Hamilton since she was a teenager. She knows the age difference is a factor and also now that he is a millionaire executive who owns a company Rushwith her brother and another of their friends he should be off limits. When she runs in to him at a cocktail party she is surprised when he asks her to dance and even further surprised when he kisses her on the terrace. As they enter into a personal/professional arrangement she wonders if she can handle the lifestyle he has shown her. She also worries she may become too emotionally attached to Gabe.

Gabe Hamilton has secretly admired Mia for years but has never acted on it due to his friendship with her brother Jace. He has been burned before in relationships and now keeps things strictly casual with no strings attached. Jace asks Gabe to make sure Mia is being looked after while he’s on a business trip and when he sees her walk into the party, he knows he must have her in his life. He offers her a chance to work for him and enter into a physical relationship similar to previous arrangements he’s had, but she proves to be more incredible than he could have imagined. He knows the lines are beginning to blur and as business tangles with personal, he has to decide how much is truly at stake and how to proceed.

“A half smile curved his lips upward. Amusement flared his eyes. “Mia, darling, you are dessert.” Her breath stuttered over clumsy lips as she read the hunger in his eyes that had nothing to do with the steak in front of him.

Maya Banks did a wonderful job with this extremely sexy story. I could not put this book down! The characters are likeable and the interaction between them ranges from flirty to romantic and tender to sizzling hot. The intensity of their relationship comes across perfectly. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a hot and spicy yet endearing romance to read.
