Saved by the CEO by Barbara Wallace: Sometimes it’s when we get lulled into believing that hiding our past has worked, when it comes back around to bite us harder than ever.

Louisa Harrison had been in hiding per say for nine months. She was running from the past, determined to be her own future, to build her own life and to rely only upon her. She had made a couple of friends and had some plans for her future and all was going well. Well, at least until an internet tracking program found her out and suddenly the past she had hidden so well was no longer hidden.

Nico Amatucci wasn’t sure how he felt about this American next door. She was hiding something that much he knew but these hots and colds he was getting from her and this weird vibe wasn’t something he was used to. All this vintner knew was that he needed to get this under control and soon.

When Louisa’s past comes out of the closet things start failing into place for Nico and his alpha starts to rear his head. That’s the rub though for as helpful as he thinks he is being will that be what ends things with Louisa before things even start?

Ms. Wallace brings us back to the vineyards in this novel. Finally we get to see what comes of the tension that has been building between Nico and Louisa the entire series. That being said it can be read and be enjoyed as a standalone. Ms. Wallace give Louisa such depth that her soul can be felt through the pages. The environment as lovely as it is actually takes a back seat to the development of Nico and Louisa. This is a delightful novel written for believers in second chances and true loves overcoming even ourselves.
