As Dev prepares to woo Tina all over again, she desperately tries to avoid his charms this time around. After all the things she has gone through in the past months should have made her wiser but how long can she close her heart when her husband is determined to make her his once again and this time its for ever.

Secrets of a Bollywood Marriage by Susanna Carr is an Indian bollywood romance set up in the city of dreams-Mumbai, Kudos to the author for doing a great job portraying the Bollywood Lifestyle to detail.  This story has many tropes apart from bollywood but the theme which stands out is the misunderstanding plot. The story is largely based on the couple’s big misunderstandings (mainly on the heroine’s part). Tina has been suffering from depression for some time when the story starts and therefore she is closed off emotionally for a major part of the story. I felt bad for her initially because she had been through hell and on the top of that she had some really dire misunderstandings regarding her husband. Dev is a gem of a hero and tries his best to make Tina fall in love with him again. He refuses to give up on their relationship and keeps trying to make Tina snap out of her tragedy. An evil mother in law, a scheming actress and The “misunderstanding” add drama to this plot which is filled with angst but in the end the story comes together beautifully.

Overall, Secrets of a Bollywood Marriage by Susanna Carr is a well written Bollywood romance with a A+ on research. It is like a experiencing a Bollywood movie through a book filled with angst, drama, romance and tons of enjoyment factor.
