In Seduction on the Sand (Billionaires of Barefoot Bay #2) by Roxanne St. Claire, Elliott Becker may be a billionaire, but he’s never had a real home. Oh, he has expensive houses and an apartment in NYC to die for, but they don’t keep his interest. Then feisty Frankie Cardinale stops his real estate plans in its tracks. Hoping to win her over and make a deal for her grandfather’s goat farm she can’t refuse, SiSa2Becker does the unthinkable and develops feelings for her. Who would have thought that an intelligent and lovely goatherd could show him what it takes to make a true home?

‘She might think he was fake, but this attraction was genuine.’

Frankie Cardinale made a deathbed promise to her Nonno (grandfather) that she would never sell his tiny farm in Mimosa Bay and she intends to keep that promise no matter what billionaire Elliott Becker tries to throw her way. All the money in the world could not change her mind. But Frankie’s attraction to Becker eventually clouds her judgement and then she’s left wondering if she can really trust a guy who seems to change his personality with the wind.

“You’ll just be whoever you need to be to get a job done, am I right?”
“Um, I’m a little more complicated than that.”
She lifted her shoulders. “I think you’re simple. In every imaginable way.”

Seduction on the Sand is another stellar novella from Roxanne St Claire in the Billionaires of Barefoot Bay trilogy. This time we follow Becker and Frankie’s journey to a HEA. And is it ever a bumpy ride!

Let me just say I didn’t want to like Elliott Becker. He seemed like a smarmy, albeit handsome, guy who always gets his way and lucked his way into becoming a billionaire. But then Becker had to go and genuinely fall for Frankie and rethink his slick business tactics. So I caved. By the end of the novella, I was wrapped right around his strong fingers and was rooting for him to win Frankie’s heart for good. I love it when a character can change so much for the better in a story and it seems realistic, as it does in this case.

Now, Frankie’s character was easy for me to love. She was strong, independent, fiercely loyal to her family and…lonely. She loved taking care of her beloved Nonno’s goat farm and it felt like home to her. But there was no one there to share her life with anymore. I found many of the quips Frankie used against/with Becker regarding money very accurate, at least in my opinion. She was a young woman who had been through a lot and was wise beyond her years. If anyone is deserving of a fairy tale ending, Frankie would be it.

We do get a glimpse (as I was hoping!) of Zeke and Mandy from Secrets on the Sand, the first novella in this trilogy, and of the other couples from the Barefoot Bay series. It’s like a nice little reunion and I enjoyed every moment.

If you want a fairly quick but completely wonderful read, I suggest checking out Seduction on the Sand. The animals on the farm kept me in stitches and Frankie & Becker kept my heart pounding through to the final page!

Like everything in his life, becoming a billionaire was easy for Elliott Becker. He bought some land in Massachusetts and discovered he sat on two billion dollars worth of rare Goshen stone. Lucky, charming, and blessed with every gift, Elliott expects his simple purchase of property in Barefoot Bay will go the way everything does for him in life…easy. Until he meets the woman who currently owns that land and suddenly everything is…hard.

Frankie Cardinale’s fondest memories took place on the tiny goat farm owned and run by her “Nonno” in the heart of Barefoot Bay. As a child, the farm and its precious residents were a refuge for her after her parents died and her grandfather taught her all about “the sweet life” of raising goats. While she held her Nonno in her arms on his deathbed, she promised his land would never leave their family and that she would continue his legacy. Nothing—not even a sexy, playful, intoxicating billionaire who always gets his way—will convince her to break that promise.

Except Elliott Becker is a man who always gets what he wants even if that means a little seduction and double-crossing of a humble goatherd. But will his lucky streak hold long enough to keep him from making the biggest mistake of his life? Because all the money in the world can’t buy him what he really wants the most…Frankie’s love.
