Served Hot Best Revenge, book two 2 by Marie Harte, is the second book I have read recently where the couple or a part of the couple does a stupid thing that has the potential to go 
viral. Maybe this is a new up and coming theme, but I must say that I am not into it, even if it is all in good fun. However, you will have to read this sexy book in order to get all the details and find out what happens!
Each novel from this series focuses on one of three best friends since elementary school, labeled the “Terrible Trio” at the time. Now almost thirty-somethings, Maya, Ann and Riley, are still best friends, sharing their lives in their hometown of Bend, Oregon. Served Hot is centered around Maya Werner, an artist who makes a good living selling her pieces independently as well as in galleries. Maya is a very feisty woman, and due primarily to her upbringing, she tends to shy away from any romantic commitments. Maya believes she is happy, until a grown-up Dex walks back into her life and changes her mind about love and forever.
What a man won’t do for the woman he loves. Dexter Black was a geek back in high school when he blackmailed the love of his life, Maya, to go with him to the prom. They had a good time, even though Maya knew that Dex had no intention of letting the cat out of the bag. Years go by and Dex moves back to Bend to settle down. As an award-winning professional photographer, his work took him all over the world, but now he is ready convince Maya that she is the one for him. Dex will do whatever is necessary to make Maya his and since blackmail worked before, he may just have to resort to his former ways.
I thought the plot of this book was just okay, however, I really loved the two main characters. Maya does not realize how beautiful she really is, both inside and out, until Dex becomes a positive presence in her life. He brings out the best in her with the fluidity of a gazelle. Dex is not only hot and extremely clever, he also has the patience and tolerance of a doting grandmother. They sizzle in the bedroom, due to Ms. Harte’s creativity and imagination. I am looking forward to Riley’s story, which will hopefully be released in the near future. This book may be read as a standalone.
