Seven Rules for Breaking Hearts by Kristyn J. Miller: When you are the co-host on a podcast that preaches the rule for dating and hooking up without catching feelings and then your best friend and partner in crime goes and announces that she is going to get married, you can bet that there will be some major questions.

In this case Jo has a lot to answer for not only to his best friend Margo but the entire internet! Desperate to save face with all of their listeners Margo decides to break all of her dating rules just to prove to everyone that this whole feelings thing is a bad idea and who better to rope into her crazy experiment than the grooms best friend, who also happens to be her high school nemesis Declan Walsh. He might be a total hottie but with an ego the size of Jupiter there is absolutely no chance that Margo could possibly wind up catching feelings!…right?

LOVED!! This book was easily one of the nicest books that I have read in a long time. I just loved the entire concept and idea behind this book, add in the fact that this was an enemies to lovers, second chance romance set in a tropical location and I was totally sold! For a debut novel this was a breeze to read and had a great flow to it, if this book is anything to go by, it is a sure sign that Miller is an author to look out for.

Declan was just a sweetheart, it was so easy to love this guy and his kind genuine nature. One of the things that I really liked about Declan’s character was that he was so upfront about what he wanted and the fact that he was able to express his feelings in such a calm and rational way. As for our leading lady Margo, well our girl was relatable in so many ways but boy was she afraid to get her heart hurt. After seeing how badly relationships can hurt people it is understandable that Margo has become so jaded.

I just loved Declan and Margo together these two were such a great pair with incredible chemistry and banter. You know a couple is going to be good when you can feel the tension between them right from the beginning and this was so the case with Margo and Declan. Aside from Declan and Margo I have to mention the bond and relationship between Margo and Jo. There were moments that their co-dependance came across as a bit unhealthy but I think Margo’s fear of losing her best friend was very relatable and made largely what grabbed me about this book.

I definitely recommend reading Seven Rules For Breaking Hearts, this book is steamy, cute, funny and oh so relatable with a great feeling good ending.

Love breaks all the rules.

Margo Anderson is sworn off commitment. Alongside her best friend, Jo, she runs a viral podcast featuring rules for hooking up without catching feelings. So when Jo surprises her by deciding to get married and taking up a sponsor’s offer to host an all-expenses-paid wedding trip on Catalina Island, they have the whole internet to answer to.

In a scramble for content to appease their disappointed listeners, Margo cooks up a social experiment: Break all her own dating rules, just to prove that it’s a bad idea. And she’s found the best man for the job in the groom’s best friend and her old high school nemesis, Declan Walsh. He may be easier on the eyes than Margo remembered, but he’s sure to be as smug and annoying as he was before—there is no chance Margo will ever catch feelings for him . . . until she does.

The more time they spend together through cake tastings and wedding party activities, the more Margo can’t ignore their obvious spark, and she may actually be enjoying getting to know Declan. But can she let go of the rules to let him in?
