Snow Kissed by RaeAnne Thayne: Holly loves her daughter Lydia and so does everyone who comes in contact with the little girl. No one is put off by her special needs. They only see a happy girl who has a smile for everyone. Things are a bit tricky this Christmas. Holly’s ex-husband is getting married during the holidays. He and his new wife-to-be want Lydia to be their flower girl. Lydia is so excited, but Holly not so much.

Here is a man who hasn’t paid much attention to Lydia suddenly wanting to make her part of his new family. Holly is also doing flowers for the wedding on top of her busy seasonal work.

Also Holly needs a date for the wedding because she told a lie about having a new boyfriend. She meets Ryan Caldwell and decides he should be her plus one.

Ryan ended up in Shelter Springs to look after his niece Audrey. He is hesitant about the situation with his estranged father nearby. He agrees to Holly’s request after she agrees to make a special Christmas for Audrey.

I admired both Holly and Ryan. Holly has had to deal with all that comes with a special needs child on her own. She has managed to do that along with running a successful business. Ryan is healing from an injury and plans to go back to his aviation career once he is totally. They are both more than a lot hesitant about getting involved with each other because they realize there may not be a future for them. Can the two of them move on with all the baggage from their pasts?

This is a sweet holiday novel. I always start reading holiday books early since there are so many released in the fall. RaeAnne Thayne has once again delivered an emotional engaging story.

Tis the season for a little white lie…

Christmas has always been single mom Holly Goodwin Moore’s favorite time of year. The twinkly lights on the tree, the cookies in the oven, the snow on the ground. But she’s just not feeling it this year. The wedding in her ex’s family is almost here, her daughter, Lydia, is bursting at the seams to be a flower girl…and Holly couldn’t be dreading it more. She told a little white lie about having a new boyfriend as her plus-one, hoping to save face. She needs a date for the wedding…and she needs it now.

Ryan Caldwell wants to be free this holiday season. So even he isn’t sure how he landed in Shelter Springs, looking after his niece, Audrey, with his estranged father down the road. But when he meets Holly, she makes him want to belong for the very first time. So they make a deal: he’ll be her date if she’ll help him give Audrey a true Christmas to remember while her mom is away.
