Something Like Love (Heart of the Rockies #2) by Sara Richardson is the second book in the Heart of the Rockies series. Not reading the first book in this series did not matter, this book is the perfect stand alone book. This is about a second chance to win the woman that you can’t forget, this is about finding that one person that completes you, that will stand by you. This is Ben and Paige’s story.
Ben Noble is running for Senator in his home town. When an ex starts spreading lies, saying that he harms the animals on his ranch (along with doctored picture proof), his mother and campaign manager know that he needs to do damage control and quickly. Setting up a rafting trip and the donation of land in Aspen, Colorado will be the perfect thing to help his reputation, but coming face to face with the woman that was almost his might be Ben’s undoing.
Paige Harper never fit in with her family. They own a grease spoon known for their famous burgers, she is a vegan, she can’t waitress without breaking every dish, the only place that she has ever fit is was at the ranch where she works as a rafting and hiking guide. Her dream, her passion is to one day start a riding program for disabled and handicapped people, sharing her love of nature and horses with those that might never get that chance. When Paige is assigned to take the Noble clan on a White Water Rafting trip, she will have to come face to face with the man that turned her on and broke her heart, but Paige is determined to make it work for her chance to open her riding program.
When a series of mishaps happen before and during the rafting trip, Ben will move the Rockies themselves to stand by Paige and help her realize her dreams, all while trying to get the woman that he loves to see that if she just has a little faith in him, he can make all her dreams come true.
I loved the banter between Paige and Ben. It was perfect how they danced around their attraction, trying to hide their feelings for each other. I loved Ben’s sister Julia, and how Paige stood up for her and helped Ben realize that even though she was in a wheelchair, she was still strong and capable, that she could still enjoy life and did not need to be sheltered. I though that Ben’s mother, Gracie, was a hoot. She added a very funny dynamic to this wonderful story.
If you like a wonderful HEA set in the beautiful backdrop of the Rockie Mountains, than this is the book for you.

IT’S GONNA BE A WILD RIDE
Ben Noble needs to do some damage control. Fast. His heart has always been in ranching, but there’s no escaping the spotlight on his high-powered political family. Now the only thing that can restore his reputation is a getaway to the fresh air of Aspen, Colorado. Not to mention that the trip gives Ben a second chance to impress a certain gorgeous mountain guide. But Paige Harper is nothing like the shy girl he remembers . . . she’s so much more.
Paige is serious about Ben, too: seriously annoyed that the playboy cowboy is using her mountain for his PR. Once upon a time, she fell for Ben’s aw-shucks charm, but the fairy tale didn’t end happily. Paige doesn’t intend to let down her guard again. But keeping their relationship all business and no pleasure may be harder than she thinks-especially if the moonlight, the Rockies, and a certain irresistible rancher have anything to say about it…
