Howells new release Stranded with His Runaway Bride, which I believe is only her second Harlequin Presents.
From page one the adventure is on! The scene is set and my curiosity is raised and I actually giggled. All on page one! Prince Leo has been abandoned at the alter by Princess Violetta. Driven by pure instinct Leo discovers Violetta’s hidden location and it.is.on! Violetta is no shrinking violet and boy does she give the mighty Prince Leo what for! Violetta knows exactly why Leo needs to marry her and she’s quite aware the clock is ticking closer to midnight, the absolute last chance Leo has to marry her. Doesn’t matter! Violetta is determined she will never be told what to do again and she knows she is absolutely not going to marry Leo.
Or does she?
Violetta does not expect to like Leo. Leo being in his grandmothers house triggers memories for him. Both are worried about their own countries and both are fiercely independent. It’s only natural two opposites attract their own storm inside during a howling storm outside. But what happens when they’re rescued? How does Violetta save her country from financial ruin and how does Leo rebuild his country from devastation caused by the storm?
It’s very special to read books by new authors and I am all about supporting them. Still to this day I remember reading Jennifer Hayward and Dani Collin’s first Harlequins, and look how their careers have soared. I highly recommend this story for the humour, the regalness, the love , the passion, the super handsome hero and delightful heroine, the family conflict, the adventure and I have high hopes Leo’s cousin, Sebastian has his own story too.
Oh how I chuckled. I absolutely adored the well placed humour! A fantastic forced proximity story. Thank you Mother Nature!
