REVIEW: Stranded with My Forbidden Billionaire by Lucy King

Stranded with My Forbidden Billionaire by Lucy King is an adventure filled fun read.

Millie needs help and her brother’s best friend Nick is the only one who can. With the incoming storm Millie is stuck on Nicks island and this forces brilliant close proximity. Nick’s been in love with Millie since way back and it’s time to own up; especially when Millie demands to know why Nick has always hated her and ignored her when they were growing up.

The scene’s set pretty quickly and my curiosity is captured. Millie’s fun thoughts help narrate the story. Snappy and witty dialogue with Nick set the pace and tone. I’m not sure I’m sold on the first person narrative for Presents but I thought Lucy King did a great job building tone and emotion.

A great adventure filled with love and laughter. Elements of familiarity with Lucy King’s style of writing peeks through and I quite enjoyed Stranded with My Forbidden Billionaire. Wrapped up with a lovely epilogue I’d recommend this story to anyone who wants something light but enjoyable with the traditional fanfare of Presents… exotic locations where passion knows no bounds.

My brother’s best friend, Nick Morgan, has always hated me. Then I won millions in the lottery. As my past has left me with no one to trust, superrich financier Nick’s the only person I can rely on to help me. And he’s demanded I join him in paradise…on his Indian Ocean island!

But no sooner I arrive than a tropical storm has us stuck together—indefinitely! My awareness of the hostility between us that’s kept Nick out-of-bounds morphs into a dangerously irresistible desire that I never saw coming…
