Stuck With Him by Danielle Owen-Jones: Lucy Clark was dedicated to her interior design business and a workaholic according to her friends. Sneaking around and hiding to work while in Costa del Sol attending her best friend’s hen party (bridal shower) only proved them right. Guilt tripped by her friends she returns to the party.

Hungover the next day with vague memories of the night, she discovers she had emailed her clients while drunk. When her childhood home is placed on the market, she can’t afford it after losing all her clients. Her annoying yoga teacher Zack also wants to purchase the house, so Lucy reluctantly agrees to them purchasing it together.

It was hard to like Lucy because she was ridiculously competitive and self-centered. Zack was laid back and easy going so I can understand their personalities clashing but her rudeness made her unlikable. I didn’t see a lot of change in her attitude by the end of the book either. Zack was a sweet guy and didn’t deserve her negative judgment. The slow burn between the two was too slow and dragged until the ending.

I really liked the idea of the storyline, and I would have loved having Zack’s POV. I think it would have solidified the connection between the two and add more depth to the story. The book was funny, and I loved all the wit between the two main characters. Overall, it was a cute and fun story, but I don’t think it is a book I would want to read it again.

Lucy Clark has just bought a house with her worst enemy.

From the moment Lucy – Miss ‘my self-worth comes from setting myself impossible standards of perfection’ – meets Zack – Mr ‘I’m your infuriatingly laidback yet impossibly ripped new yoga teacher’ – it’s hate at first sight.

So when Zack puts in a competing offer to buy her childhood home, there’s no way she’s backing down. After losing her business and her best friend in one great margarita-themed disaster, there’s no way she’s losing her beloved house. Except there’s one tiny problem – she can’t actually afford it.

When Zack suggests they buy the house together, inspiration strikes. Lucy will wear him down, with a never-ending supply of lists and rules, until he’s begging for escape. That’s until Zack arrives, with his non-existent sleepwear and a ridiculously sincere appreciation for the simple things. Suddenly, Lucy finds herself re-evaluating her own warped priorities.

Will living with the enemy end up with Lucy losing her sanity? Or is it true what they say – that there’s a thin line between love and hate?
