Tell-Me-AgainTell Me Again by Michelle Major: Samantha Carlton is a “retired” model. Now, she’s running a summer camp for disadvantaged kids. Even though she has something to occupy her time, she’s lonely. Don’t worry, it doesn’t’ last long, especially when her niece, Grace, shows up at her door, believing to be her daughter. Turns out her twin sister had a daughter before she died. A daughter who knew nothing about her aunt and vice versa. When Grace’s father shows up, the surprises keep coming, especially since it’s Grace’s first love, Trevor Kincaid.

When Trevor sees Sam again, he’s immediately thrown off course. He’s rattled and angry and doesn’t want his daughter near her. Too bad, he has no say. Grace wants to get to know her aunt, so he’s put into a difficult position. He loved Sam at one time, but she abandoned him. The only thing he cares about now is his daughter.

Sam did not have a great childhood. Her mom was a manipulator and her twin sister was trouble. She needed to get out of town before it suffocated her and modeling allowed her that. I enjoyed her as a heroine. She has plenty of faults but a big heart. She loves Grace and only wants to do best by her, if only her father would get past his anger, they could be a family.

“I know I’m her father and you are not her mother. Before this week you were nothing to her.”

Trevor made me angry a few times. He holds on to his anger and dissatisfaction of Sam for a lot of the story. He makes her feel like crap and barely redeems himself. In the end, I didn’t love him a hero, but I did love Sam and Sam wanted Trevor…so that’s that.

Let me clear the air…there was no cheating involved here. Trevor didn’t cheat on Grace with her twin sister. They broke up when Samantha took a big modeling job. Months later, he hooks up with the sister for comfort. Now, the sister, on the other hand, she wanted to hurt Sam because she resented her not being there for her. It might be a little too close for comfort, but overall, Tell Me Again is a quick read packed with a lot of feeling.

03.5S October 18th 2016 | Montlake Romance |

As a teenager, Samantha Carlton used a career in modeling to break free from her painful childhood—walking away from her reckless twin sister, an alcoholic mother, and the boy she loved. Yet she never outran the guilt of abandoning her family. When the past shows up on her doorstep in the form of her late sister’s daughter, Sam opens her home and her heart to the girl she never knew existed. But it’s not so easy to face the man she left behind…

Sam had shattered Trevor Kincaid’s heart, and he’d sought comfort in her sister’s arms. But he’d pledged to shield his daughter, Grace, from the drama that followed the Carlton women. Now Grace has tracked down Sam, and Trevor is forced to deal with the one woman he wanted to forget.

History has a way of repeating itself, and the sparks between Sam and Trevor reignite an old flame. But as much as Sam wants a new future, is walking away again easier than risking her heart for a second chance at love?
