Tempted By Her Island Millionaire by Nina Singh: Sometimes it is easier to just go with what you are being told, especially when the people telling you love and care for you. It can’t really be bad at that point right?
Sarita, Rita, Paul figured out that wasn’t really the case. She was finally breaking free of the chains that bound her. The expectations, the weights, the decisions that were never fully hers.
She was going to live her own life and unfortunately that did mean a divorce from a good guy, just not her right guy. It also meant this was a time to start over. To change things and start fresh, and her friends wedding in Hawaii gave her the freedom and the time to do just that.
Clinton, Clint, Fallon had done the right thing since his parents died. He did everything in his power to make things right for his sister to give her what she needed and what she wanted. He was a fixer. Right now he was just happy to be headed to her wedding in Hawaii to watch her get married and then he could have a little bit of the “freedom” he would have been able to have years ago.
The problem is Clint can’t stop his “fixing” genes and Rita she needs to be able to fix things on her own, so when things keep popping up that need fixing, will these two be able to compromise? Or will one bullhead just keep knocking another bullhead around?
Ms. Singh has given her readers an interesting novel. I say this as while the beginning was interesting, the middle had me almost putting it down but making the decision to see it through was a good one and it ended in delight. The characters are well written and truthfully there are two really great pictures of two people who I can see in real life. The plot isn’t always the most entertaining, but it has some amazing descriptions and the scenery is able to create some great pictures in your head, from cliff diving, turtle touching, sunrise watching it all comes to life beautifully. (Though I will still want my trip to Hawaii to verify the beauty of course.) This is a good pool read.
