Thank You for Sharing by Rachel Runya Katz: The last thing anyone wants while traveling is to wind up sitting next to someone annoying but even worse than this is find out that you are seated next to you former childhood friend that you no long talk to. Talk about an awkward flight! Well things only get worse from here for Daniel and Aliyah seeing as their unwanted reunion does not end when they disembark their flight, seeing as Daniel’s marketing firm has just been hired by the Chicago museum that Aliyah works at as a curator. With little to no choice but to work together if either of them wants to get an career changing promotion, Daniel and Aliyah have no choice to put their animosity and tension to the side… only problem now are these new very inconvenient feelings that seem to be brewing between them… what do you do when you begin to fall in love with your enemy?

Thank You For Sharing was a really nice second chance, forced proximity romance. This book packed in the emotions and banter. I really enjoyed that these two characters had a shared history and that they story kind of just picks up from where they left of all those years ago. There was a good amount of tension and angst between Daniel and Aliyah and I really liked getting to see them try to fight their attraction at first only to fall even deeper.

Both main characters were really great. I liked that they both had to deal with the actions of the past and the way they went about addressing these issues. I will say that there were a number of sensitive topics such as sexual assault and death mentioned in this book, but they were all handled with care and respect. I think the thing that made their relationship work was that they took things slow and I mean slow burn slow, but this made things between them seem more realistic.

All in all Thank You For Sharing was a nice read, it was not the best enemies to lovers romance that I have read but I still enjoyed it. I will say that there was a lot of representation in this book, from the LGBT community to both main characters being mixed race, this was one of the things that I did really like about this book.

Daniel Rosenberg and Liyah Cohen-Jackson’s last conversation—fourteen years ago at summer camp—ended their friendship. Until they find themselves seated next to each other on a plane, and bitterly pick up right where they left off. At least they can go their separate ways again after landing…

That is, until Daniel’s marketing firm gets hired by the Chicago museum where Liyah works as a junior curator, and they’re forced to collaborate with potential career changing promotions on the line.

With every meeting and post-work social gathering with colleagues, the tension (and chemistry) between Daniel and Liyah builds until they’re forced to confront why they broke apart years ago at camp. But as they find comfort in their shared experiences as Jews of color and fumble towards friendship, can they ignore their growing feelings for each other?
