In That Night with the CEO by Karen Booth, Entrepreneur Adam Langford always gets what he wants. And he wants the blonde who shared his bed a year ago—then vanished. Now a tabloid scandal whisks Melanie Costello back into his life—as his new PR guru! But the real headline would be if their red-hot secret got out.
Transforming the rebellious image of the soon-to-be CEO will take Melanie’s best makeover skills. But how do they hide their sizzling chemistry? Her PR firm is on the line. Will she risk everything for the one man she can’t resist?
This is Karen’s first Harlequin and she has done a great job! .Adam is one of the best heroes I have read in a while. He was not an alpha or a beta hero but rather someone who was very close to someone I would actually want to meet someday. He was successful, rich, handsome and yet was so down to earth. He was actually interested in Melanie and after a while their relationship became so much more.Melanie is an independent heroine who is strong yet has vulnerabilities. She is smart, professional and the perfect woman for Adam.
The romance is more on the emotional side and is a little slow to pick up at times. There is a gradual buildup in the their relationship as it moves from being professional to something more deeper.Overall I had a great time because I loved the characters and the story.I would definitely be looking forward to the author’s next book!
