That Second Chance by Meghan Quinn: Ren is looking forward to a fresh start in the idyllic coastal town of Port Snow, Maine. She loves living by the water and the small town will be a much needed change of pace from LA. Moving to the other side of the country will also bring some much needed distance from her helicopter mom. Ren is smart, sassy, a math nerd, and has a great sense of humor.

Griffin is the oldest of four brothers who he loves when he doesn’t want to hurt them or deliver payback. He’s from a tight-knit family who is always up in his business, along with the rest of their small town. He loves running the family business, being a volunteer firefighter, and running any number of other groups in the community.

After a drunken night in New Orleans, Griffin and his brothers were cursed by a palm reader. Initially brushing it all off as a hoax, Griffin has since decided that he is in fact cursed and refuses to date again. And then Ren comes crashing into town. Ren is a breath of fresh air as she knows nothing of his past or the curse and he’s attracted despite his intentions to stay far away.

“Couldn’t think of anything else.”
“That’s just cruel, Griffin, very, very cruel.”
“Hey, maybe if you’re nice to me, I’ll score you some ice cream this Thursday.”
“Oh, now you’re bribing me? I see how it is. Tsk, tsk, Griffin, I thought you were better than that.”

Ren and Griffin quickly become friends and they just click from the beginning. He helps her adjust and acclimate to their town and lets her in on the secrets just meant for locals. She sneaks past his walls and make him wish and want for more than the life he’s allowed for himself. Griffin can only hold out for so long and it doesn’t help that she holds her own with his overbearing and delightfully embarrassing family.

Her eyes narrow, a smirk playing at the corner of her mouth as she starts to walk away. “You’re annoying.”
“But two seconds ago, you were all about me. I could see stars in your eyes.”
She scoffs. “Just remember, it’s not hard to fall from that pedestal.”

That Second Chance is funny, emotional, and sexy. Meghan Quinn provides a really entertaining romance with banter, witty dialogue, interfering family, town gossips, and romance. Ms. Quinn developed a hilarious cast of characters, especially Griffin’s family. That Second chance was a great start to a new series and I can’t wait for the next book. Fans of Lauren Layne, Lorelei James, and Erika Kelly will enjoy That Second Chance.

USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn delivers a smart and cheeky romance about love’s power to lift hearts . . . and curses.

It was supposed to be an innocent night, celebrating my brother’s birthday. Nothing was supposed to go wrong. We’d vowed to be on our best behavior after all . . .

But it only took one rowdy night with my brothers to flip my world upside down. One unlucky encounter saddled us with a family curse and the promise of doomed relationships. I laughed it off immediately. “Yeah, right,” I thought. “A love curse. Ha!”

Boy, was I wrong.

Word spreads quickly in a town like mine; rumors about that night soon made us the most eligible yet untouchable bachelors in Port Snow, Maine. As a subject of endless gossip and speculation, I could kiss my dating life goodbye.

It would have stayed that way if Ren Winters, the new girl in town, hadn’t crashed into my life. Brave, beautiful, and smart—her vivacious thirst for a fresh start has given me hope that maybe, just maybe, I can have one too.

Everyone wishes for that second chance . . . but could this really be mine?
