The Baby That Changed Her Life by Louisa HeatonΒ is aΒ debut novel and is a well written romance on the surrogacy The-Baby-That-Changed-Her-Lifeplot with a twist. Midwife Callie Taylor agrees to be the surrogate mother for her best friend, Dr. Lucas Gold but his marriage falls apart exactly when she becomes pregnant. Faced with confronting the situations she would never have imagined, Callie struggles with her feelings regarding the baby she was never meant to keep and the feelings she has started for Lucas after his scorching kiss!

The Baby That Changed Her Life by Louisa Heaton is a must read for everyone adores friends to lovers romance because the transition from friends to lovers is done so naturally that it does feel forced or unnecessary. The surrogacy element was handled so well that it is difficult to believe that this is the author’s debut. Lucas ex wife does not interfere in the story that much and the focus is mostly on the main characters.

The romance was emotional and had a lot of depth in its story line. The medical details were well integrated in the story without overpowering the main story. Lucas and Callie are both likable characters and I adored them both and wasΒ completely hookedΒ to the amazing journey they made together towards their happily after ever.

Overall, The Baby That Changed Her Life by Louisa Heaton is a must read for every medical romance lover.
