The-Boss-vol-5The Boss:Book Five by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott has me eagerly waiting for the conclusion of this story. This book is all Grace’s point of view and it’s an interesting one.

Grace gets herself into a little jam and finds herself stuck. Luckily Blake and Jack find her, just in the nick of time, otherwise, the situation could have been drastic. Turns out Grace found her grandma’s diary and realized there are a lot of secrets in there that need to come to life and she plans to uncover them.

“Everyone lied to me.
Everyone kept their true selves to themselves.
Leaving me alone.
Always alone.”

I really enjoyed Blake and Grace in this book. They connected more intimately in this book and I’m not talking about sex. It was more emotional and I think it really drove home the fact that they could have lost each other. There are still a lot of secrets that we don’t know yet, but it looks like grandma is leaving clues and all Blake and Grace need to do is follow them…without getting killed.

This is a serial, so you need to read Book One first. Do not read this unless you’ve read the previous four parts.

I used to be a good girl. But I’m not anymore…

Because of him—Blake Carson. My nemesis. My boss. Now my lover.

My teacher in so many dark, delicious things I never knew I would crave.

My protector, though I never asked him to be my savior.

Now he’s determined to push me away, yet he still wants me under his lock and key. Supposedly to keep me out of danger. He’s dominant, stubborn, and sexy as hell.

I want him almost as much as I’d like to slap him.

Except maybe he needs saving more than I do. And the one to save him will be…me.
