The Chatsfield Novellas Box Set Volume 1:  contain five standalone novellas based in the fictional Chatsfield hotel. These are not connected to the Chatsfield series in any way except the location and are just a way to give the readers a peak into the opulent world of Chatsfield hotel and its guests.

The Soldier in Room 286 by Abby Green

TCNSalim Segal and Natalja Jordan have both worked in the war zone before and have been affected by it. While Nat was a war zone photographer, Salim was a The Foreign Legion.T he connection between them was an instant one and given their similarities, it felt natural for them to take their story forward. I loved how Abby Green has not taken any shortcuts given the length of the story. The characters are developed with a well explained past and their romance appears natural.Overall, the story is about slow seduction and that too an enjoyable one.

Proposal in Room 309 by Joss Wood

Ben and Joely were such a cute couple and their story was filled with humor and fun. There was an epilouge too! Joely is dead against the institution of marriage and Ben is trying to convince her why marriage is the next step for them. He decides to propose her on her birthday at The Chatsfield and after a series of mishaps and a totally crazy night, they have their HEA. This was not that much high on the steam factor but I absolutely loved the story because of the situations, the witty dialouges and the absolute adorable ending.

The Couple in the Dream Suite by Marguerite Kaye

The story is set in 1920s and is about two individuals who have been greatly affected by the WW1.Bought together one night at The Chatsfield, they both discover their other halves in each other. There was loads of emotions in this one and it was served with a slice of history.Vera and Justin are both scared by the WW1 and this was a story on how they find their solace in each other by spending the night and sharing their stories in the Dream Suite at The Chatsfield. It was well written with proper characterization and told a good story overall.

The Prince in the Royal Suite by Susan Stephens.

This story was like a modern Cinderella like story.Libby Lancaster puts on her cousin’s glamorous gala dress and designer heels for a night but she runs into Prince Lucaj. This one was a sweet story and with not much steam.I loved Lucaj and Libby’s conversations and their flirting. The story was well written and a epilogue completed the story.

The Doctor in the Executive Suite by Tina Beckett

Dr. Chelsea Serrano is never going on a blind date again. Ever! The food at the delectable and ultra luxurious Chatsfield restaurant may be heavenly, but the company definitely leaves something to be desired.…
So when Chelsea is called upon to save the life of a guest, she jumps at the chance to escape her “date.” And having a mouthwatering bodyguard helping her as the drama unfolds? What girl could ask for more! But when the curtain falls, will she chose to live in the spotlight and reach for what she wants?

The peculiar thing about this one was that the hero’s (who happens to be the bodyguard by the way) name is not revealed till the last para. He was the ‘ear piece guy’ or the ‘bodyguard’. I liked the uncertainty and mysterious touch the story had. It dealt with a medical emergency and it was a cute story overall.I just wished there was a little more story and it felt something was missing.
