The Cowboys Twins by Tara Taylor Quinn: Having enjoyed previous installments of the “Family Secrets” series, I was quite eager to start The Cowboy’s Twins by Tara Taylor Quinn. And it did not disappoint.
Spencer, a rancher in California, is balancing raising his young twins on his own along with trying to make a success out of the ranch he inherited. For this reason, he agrees to allow the Family Secrets cooking reality show to take place in one of his barns for a season, once the barn is converted to kitchens for this purpose. However, he does not want his twin son and daughter being exposed to the actors, actresses or crew, as he wishes for his children to not be attracted to life off of the ranch. He especially does not want to form any friendship with the show’s creator and producer Natasha, as he is very mistrusting of “city girls”.
Well, in this novel, “art imitates life”, and the best laid plans, well, they don’t go as planned. The twins are of course enthralled by Natasha who in turn develops affection and fondness for them quite quickly. Spencer is not at all pleased by this friendship that quickly becomes tight. He is also trying to date and find another mother for the twins, as he feels especially that his daughter will need a female role model as she grows into the teen years. And, from Natasha’s viewpoint, while she adores the twins and is strongly attracted to Spencer, she is determined to not marry. This eventually leads to an interesting “turn of events” for Spencer and Natasha.
I encourage readers who have started this series already to definitely pick this up. And, if you are new to this series, it can easily be read as a stand alone. Ms. Quinn thoroughly develops her characters so that the reader finds them real, like someone the reader can be friends with. This book was highly enjoyable!

It looked so good on camera…
If it weren’t for the money, Spencer Longfellow would happily drive Natasha Stevens and her TV crew right off his ranch. But his land, and his kids, mean the world to him—and he’ll do anything to secure their future. Even cohost Natasha’s cooking show, Family Secrets, in his barn. Even play the token hunky cowboy to her sophisticated city slicker and flirt with her on national television… It could never amount to anything real anyway. After all, he was fooled and left in the dust by a city girl once. And he will never let that happen to him—or his kids—again.
