I was utterly fascinated by Caitlin Crews September 2023 new release The Desert King’s Kidnapped Virgin and I could not put it down until the very last page.

Promised to Hope by her father, Cyrus has watched Hope from afar, stepping in when Hope is about to waltz down the aisle to marry another. It’s about at this point I was captured by the adventurous, passionate and completely engaging story Caitlin has written. The fact that Hope almost enjoyed being kidnapped and whisked away throws Cyrus through a loop. Hope doesn’t react how he expects her to. Cyrus doesn’t seem to scare Hope and he certainly isn’t equipped to have his stunning bride to be answer him back with such wit, charm and nonchalance.

Hope Cartwright has to be the most awesome heroine I have read for quite some time. She was smart, witty, super brave, so funny, loving, heartfelt, beautiful and just brilliant. Hope was paired against a desert warrior who is loyal and strong and the strength behind his country, his people and his staff. Cyrus is like a brick wall in terms of emotions but Hope chips away slowly and the story is such a brilliant tennis match; back and forward shots fired and it sure is a battle of the wills because Hope is just as strong and loyal and full of inner strength.

Caitlin Crews has the ability to create worlds that are dark and light all at the same time and place in them characters that are so engaging and memorable they climb out the pages. I was so fascinated as each page passed; I could not put the book down at all and I laughed out loud and teared up too. Cyrus’s declaration of love was stunning and the epilogue captured the future beautifully. The side characters were enjoyable and added to the book.

Hope and Cyrus’s story is one I will not forget in a long time and I will re read again in the future. Loved it.
