REVIEW: The Doctor’s Christmas Homecoming by Alison Roberts

The Doctor’s Christmas Homecoming by Alison Roberts: ER Dr. Matilda Dawson, aka Tilly, has come home to New Zealand to care for her ailing father. She brings home Dr. Harry Doyle as a “pretend boyfriend” so her father and others won’t continue to nudge her during the holidays.

Harry becomes more than a boyfriend very quickly. Tilly’s father can’t do his annual duty as being Father Christmas. At first apprehensive, Harry steps in and enjoys the holiday fun in the small town.

Tilly is afraid to get too with Harry. He will be returning to Ireland eventually and then there is the matter of a horrible secret that has shaped her relationship ever since she was at university.

I loved the atmosphere of this New Zealand town. I was reminded that their Christmas is quite warm. They still seem to stick to the typical activities and tradition food.

I wanted to cheer on both Tilly and Harry as they became closer. They were very relatable and charming. Although Harry was handsome, it was cute how he used his hair to cover his leprechaun ears.

Author Alison Roberts is new to me. She has been quite prolific in her writing and has legions of fans. I love Medical Romances and have become a fan of hers now, too.
