The Gossip and the Grump by Pippa Grant The trip to Hawaii really has not been going the way that Sabrina had expected, but things change when she meets a hot stranger in one of the tropical bars. Which leads to one single night of steamy goodness, no strings, no real names but loads of real pleasure. Never expecting to see her mystery man again Sabrina heads back home to Snaggletooth Creek only to find that her sexy stranger also happens to be the guy that has now bought her families mountain cafe! Talk about awkward, especially seeing as Sabrina is hell bent on doing whatever it takes to make sure that she can change Greyson’s mind and stop him from completely gutting the cafe! All Sabrina needs to do now is make sure that she doesn’t fall in love with the charming, sweet Greyson that she got to know while in Hawaii…

The Gossip and The Grump was just the cutest enemies to lovers romcom that you will read. There was so much to love about this book starting with the cute and lovable characters, the small town charm of Snaggletooth Creek and all the pent up tension that bounced between our two main characters. This book is very much linked to the previous book in the Three BFFs and a Wedding series, however it can be read as a standalone novel, though I would suggest reading the first book to get a better understanding of who Sabrina Sullivan really is.

Sabrina was such a great leading lady. It was incredibly easy to love her character but also relate to her struggles and determination. I loved that she was so quirky and funny in her own way. I will say that there were times that her mouth got her into a bit of trouble but it was all well meaning for the most part. I really enjoyed getting to follow her as she made it her mission to save the cafe while trying to keep her feelings for Greyson in check. Now for our hero, well Greyson was the perfect match for our Sabrina. He was the total opposite to everything that was Sabrina but this only made them work all the more perfectly. I loved that the more time that he spent with her the easier it was for him to find ways to relate to her and connect. I have to say I really enjoyed the fact that Greyson was a more quite, moody, almost self contained hero.

The chemistry between these two characters was amazing. I loved them right from their Hawaiian first meeting, and this connection only got stronger once they were back in Snaggletooth. One of the things that really worked with this couple was the fact that they were strong on their own but together they were just so much better. I will say I was expecting a bit more in the stream department but I actually liked the fact that this book was a more lite read. I will say that there was plenty of tension and build up and I for one really loved it.

The Gossip and The Grump was an absolute gem of a book, this cute small town, enemies to lovers, forced proximity romcom will have you giggling all the way through as this couple try to deny their very obvious chemistry but wind up falling hopelessly in love.

He’s the last man I should’ve picked for a one night stand…

See that guy over there? The insanely tall, broad-shouldered, dark-haired, scowling, “I don’t drink coffee” suit?

Surprise! He’s the new owner of my family’s mountain café.

The café that has been my life purpose since I was born in the kitchen there almost thirty years ago.

The café that he’s planning to completely gut and renovate for revenge against my family.

He’s also the funny, charming, irresistible guy I spilled all of my secrets to last week.

During the hottest one-night stand of my life.

As my dog would say, woof me.

Secrets and gossip keep getting me in trouble, and I swore I was done with both, but now my family’s café is on the line.

It’s time to use every last trick I know to uncover every secret this man is hiding.

I don’t care how much I liked him our first night together, or how much I keep seeing glimpses of that man beneath his gruff exterior.

One of us has to go.

It won’t be me.
