The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon finds pediatric surgeon London Kelley reuniting with her high school enemy, Drew Sullivan, at the class reunion. They’re both single and despite London’s obviously dislike of Drew, they agree to a one-night stand. When London finds out Drew is in town for several weeks because his company is auditing her hospital to see if can be saved from financial ruin or if it needs to be sold, she reluctantly agrees to spend her nights with him. But London isn’t looking for forever, while Drew is determined to prove to her that they have something that can last.
This is the third book in The Boyfriend Project series. I’ve only read book two in the series, but I feel this works well as a standalone.
I had a hard time getting into this book. I had to put it down several times and walk away to come back to it later. Part of the problem is the repetitiveness. It’s mentioned over and over how London and Drew were enemies and rivals back in high school. It didn’t have to be mentioned as much as it was.
Another problem is London herself. She has control issues, she repeatedly thinks about her old rivalry with Drew, and she constantly pushes him away because of this instead of trying to get to know the man he had become. She eventually realizes the root of her problems, and that it wasn’t Drew she had an issue with, but by that point it was a little too late to redeem her character.
Drew was by far the better, and more likeable, half of the couple. He’s patient with London and isn’t afraid to push her out of her comfort zone. He’s also determined to get her to put the past behind her. It’s clear his job has a deeper meaning for him, and he truly wants what’s best for the hospital, even if London refuses to believe that at times.
The Hookup Plan is an enemies-to-lovers story about friendship, family, love, and forgiveness. While it wasn’t a book for me, I feel there are other readers out there who will really enjoy this one.

Successful pediatric surgeon London Kelley just needs to find some balance and de-stress. According to her friends Samiah and Taylor, what London really needs is a casual hookup. A night of fun with no strings. But no one—least of all London—expected it to go down at her high school reunion with Drew Sullivan, millionaire, owner of delicious abs, and oh yes, her archnemesis.
Now London is certain the road to hell is paved with good sex. Because she’s found out the real reason Drew’s back in Austin: to decide whether her beloved hospital remains open. Worse, Drew is doing everything he can to show her that he’s a decent guy who actually cares. But London’s not falling for it. Because while sleeping with the enemy is one thing, falling for him is definitely not part of the plan.
