The Italian’s Runaway Cinderella by Louise Fuller is an intense and highly emotional second chance reunion story which grabbed me from page one and didn’t let go.
Poor little rich girl Talitha used to have it all. Now she’s hiring couture dresses to look the part in a very important business meeting and is days away from losing her family home. Coming face to face with her ex-fiancée, Talitha’s pain is instant. But what is shocking as a reader was that Dante’s shock and pain at seeing Talitha was instant too! My curiosity was piqued.
Driven by revenge Dante is determined to make Talitha feel some of the pain he felt when she left him. Talitha has no choice but accept Dante’s job offer when it means her family home will be saved. The author does a brilliant job of crafting two broken hearts and as they talk and grow closer again secrets and misunderstandings have to be addressed before love can conquer all.
I loved this story. The emotion was instant. The intensity was solid. The passionate and hot blooded romance Dante and Talitha once shared scorched the pages. The rekindled passion was combustible. The author did a fantastic job of recreating past feelings and combining it into the present story. I loved the dialogue and the instant connection. I loved the angst. I loved the back story and I loved Talitha’s grandfather.
A wonderful story of two broken hearts who belong together with a beautiful heroine paired with a perfectly dark and broody hero. Highly recommended for Presents fans who love the angst and beautiful locations such stories take us to.
