The Path to Loving Him by Meghan Quinn: Gabby had a really good plan, ace her interview and start her life as the new assistant coach for the Almond Bay High baseball team, well that is until she royally screws up her interview and any chance she had at this new start. So what is a girl to, if not drown her sorrows at the local pub with her bestie, a few drinks and a bit of sulking was what Gabby had in mind, hooking up with the guy she has had the hots for for ages, not so much.

After one incredibly steamy night with the broody Ryland, Gabby does a dash, hoping to end the awkwardness before it has a chance to start… well this would have been a great plan if only Gabby didn’t wind up getting the job she had wanted which means that instead of never having to face Ryland again, now she has to work under him everyday as his assistant! If this wasn’t bad enough Gabby also happens to be renting the apartment above Ryland’s garage, this in itself isn’t so bad, right, well it wouldn’t have been if only Gabby didn’t have to use the shower in the main house every night only to have to try and sneak out without running into Ryland and his hungry eyes each time…

Well you know this book is going to be amazing, simply because Quinn can do no wrong when it comes to writing the most perfectly cute romcoms! The Path To Loving Him was the cutest small town, one night stand that turns into so much more romcom. I loved the fact that Quinn combines so many good tropes but still managed to give each one of them the attention that they deserve. So far I have been just loving the Almond Bay series and I think it would be safe to say that this book has lived up to all the expectations and then some. I think the only thing that I wasn’t a huge fan of was the cover of this book, while the previous two books had these bright and colourful covers, I wouldn’t help but feel this book got the short end of the stick with this kind of boring and dull cover, however in saying this you know the book is really good if the only complain is about the cover art!

I just adored both of our main characters, both Ryland and Gabby had so much of heart and so much of love to give and I just ate up every moment of their story. While these two definitely both came with their own emotional baggage it only made their story all the more touching and beautiful to see unfold. Gabby was such an amazing leading lady, she was so strong and confident in herself but at the same time she had very relatable insecurities and fears. I loved how easy it was to relate to her but also to root her on as she tried to live her happiness. I just loved the fact that she was so comfortable in her body and being a woman in the sports industry. As for our hero, well Ryland was a grump with a squishy warm heart of gold. I loved our hero to bits, he was such a protector and I loved the fact that he embraced his role as uncle/dad even though he wasn’t always so sure on how to handle every situation. Ryland really was the perfect hero, he had so much of love for his niece Mac and his sisters, it was just so swoony getting to see this grump showing his softer side to the people he loved the most. I just adored his relationship with Mac, these two just stole my heart.

The connection between Gabby and Ryland was just perfection, these two start off the book and their relationship with a bang and I was all for the build up that followed. As far as their chemistry went, these two could not have been better suited for each other. They had banter for days and had me giggling on more than a few occasions. I just loved getting to see them figure out their feelings for each other and also realizing that after always putting others needs before their own, it was finally time to be a bit selfish and chase what their hearts desired. Truly this couple was meant for each other and all the hurdles and tension that they had to face to finally get their happily ever after only made their story all the more sweet.

The Path To Loving Him was just perfection to read, this book was filled with heart, spice and so many laughs. With amazing supporting characters, lovable main characters and a beautifully written heartwarming love story this book is a total must read from me!

What does one do when they completely blow an interview?
If you’re me, you pick up a one-night stand with the most gorgeous man you’ve ever seen..

That’s right, after a lousy interview that could have changed everything for me, I headed over to the local small town bar to sulk when the one man I shouldn’t want walked in. And when my friend convinced me to take him back to my hotel room, I didn’t think about it, I just did it . . . well, I did him.

It was an unforgettable night, but I didn’t stay for breakfast. Instead, I got out of there and tried not to think about him again.

Everything was fine until I received a call from the interviewer saying I got the job as the assistant baseball coach at Almond Bay High. I’d be working directly under the one and only Ryland Rowley–my one-night stand.

Now, I’m not only working with him but renting the apartment above his garage. And I have to deal with the fact that he’s the man I dream about and can’t have while not letting my attraction get in the way of keeping the harmony between us. Sounds easy, doesn’t it?

It should have been, except the plan falls apart when my shower breaks, and night after night I have to slip into his house to use the bathroom only to find him in the kitchen, staring me down with those hungry, single dad eyes.
