In The Russian’s Ultimatum by Michelle Smart, Emily Richardson breaks into Pasha Virshilas’s office to get some amount of leverage on him and 
blackmail him into clear her father’s name. But making a deal with the devil proves to be anything but a piece of cake when Pascha catches her red handed in his office.
Pascha refuses to get blackmailed so easily and give in Emily’s demands in exchange for her silence regarding the private documents she managed to read in his office. He promises to help clear her father’s name but the enticing Emily must accompany him to his private island, the only place he can ensure her silence. But in the midst of a tropical storm, the wind blows aside suspicions and secrets to reveal something much more dangerous.
The Russian’s Ultimatum by Michelle Smart is a well written romance on the deserted island trope. Pascha and Emily are stuck on an island with each other and discover a passion so fierce that it threatens to drown them both. Pascha is a self made hero whose next business deal is threatened when Emily threatens to leak secret information. I loved him because he was a perfect combo of a domineering and a caring hero without being overly alpha or possessive. He cared and understood Emily and that was the best thing about him. Emily is a dutiful, loving daughter, a responsible sister and a brilliant designer. She too was as awesome as Pascha because she refused to give up on her father and was on par with the hero every time.
The romance was a perfect combination of both emotions and passion. A romance between two strong and equal individuals raised the notch even higher for me. The characters had amazing chemistry and connected on both physical and emotional level.
Overall, The Russian’s Ultimatum by Michelle Smart is a well written romance with an amazing chemistry between two amazing characters. A must read for everyone!
