The Secret His Mistress Carried by Lynne Graham is a well written romance with the secret child trope. Billie is an likable enough heroine for me because she did not take things lying down when Gio revealed his intention to keep her as his mistress when he got married to someone else. This can be called a second chance romance too with an evil ex-wife thrown in.
Gio is an alpha I-take-what-I-want kind of hero.I think he treated Billie very badly when he chose somebody else for marriage. He did suffer in the marriage and was unhappy during the duration of the same. The exact reason why he was unhappy is not specified but it might be because his ex wife was clearly a witch in disguise. There was not much angst in the romance as I expected but it was a passionate romance full of conflicts.
Overall, The Secret His Mistress Carried by Lynne Graham is a well written romance which will be well liked by Lynne Graham’s fans. If you could just get past the insufferable hero, this was a fairly enjoyable read.
