The Sicilian’s Forgotten Wife by Caitlin Crews is gold! I can’t help feeling that what Josselyn did to Cenzo is what every Presents Heroine who has ever battled through the revenge troupe would love to do to their husbands!
Caitlin Crews is a favorite of mine so I was excitedly intrigued with how Cenzo’s amnesia was going to play out. Boy was it a beauty! No holds barred, Cenzo lays it out; the cold hard truth of their marriage and how he sees it playing out for the rest of their days. Then his horrifying accident occurs and Josselyn turns the tables big time on him for the entire month they have been isolated for their honeymoon.
Josselyn was a brilliant heroine, strong, candid, funny, an absolute queen! Through Cenzo’s amnesia shines a man she can love but just like me, she’s waiting for the moment he remembers all. I imagined him roaring to life once his memory came back and so I was pleasantly surprised when the author chose a different route.
I think this is a very good and enjoyable Presents. I loved the table turning and I loved the strong heroine that Josselyn was. I thought the ending was well done and I loved the bits of humor that shone through when Cenzo’s thoughts argued with himself when he thought he sounded like an ass.
Another very, very good book by the incredibly talented Caitlin Crews, highly recommended.
