We met the dark and brooding brother in The Redemption of Darius Sterne and now its time to meet the one blond and charming one in The Taming of Xander Sterne (The Twin Tycoons #2) by Carole Mortimer: . This is the last part in the Twin Tycoons duet.
A car accident has left Xander Sterne with a broken leg and, much to his annoyance, the need for live-in assistance. But to Xander’s surprise, help arrives in the exquisitely tempting shape of Samantha Smith. A broken leg won’t be an obstacle for this legendary lothario!
Sam does not want to do anything with a legendary playboy but with her boss launching a flirtatious and persistent!assault on Sam’s every attempt to remain professional.
The Taming of Xander Sterne by Carole Mortimer was a highly enjoyable romance and I liked it better than the previous book in this duet.
Xander is a sexy hero who has the right amount of charm to make the reader fall in love with him. I loved him and thought he appeared somewhat like a lost hero who just needed the right woman to set him right. Sam is a strong independent heroine who has her own set of vulnerabilities. The conversations between the H/hare the story’s best thing about this book because they convey so many emotions and keep the story moving forward. There were so many other elements which added to the drama- an unplesant blast from the past, an adorable little girl and a emotional, passionate romance.
Overall, The Taming of Xander Sterne by Carole Mortimer is a well written, enjoyable romance which is definitely one of the author’s best works. Miss this at your own risk!

Six weeks ago a car accident left Xander Sterne with a broken leg and, much to his annoyance, the need for live-in assistance. But to Xander’s surprise, help arrives in the exquisitely tempting shape of Samantha Smith. A broken leg won’t be an obstacle for this legendary lothario!
With her boss launching a flirtatiousand persistent!assault on Sam’s every attempt to remain professional and unmoved by his skilled seduction, she starts to wonder just how long it will be before he convinces her to join him in redefining the meaning of “personal assistant…”
