The Wrong Bridesmaid by Lauren Landish: The day Wyatt Ford left Cold Springs he was pretty sure that he would never return or at least not by his own free will, but when his younger brother all but pulls the guilt card with a very heavy and compelling ‘please’ asking for Wyatt to attend his wedding, the Ford family black sheep finds himself heading back home, only to find that things in Cold Springs have changed big time and of course his family are at the centre of all the drama.
Soon what was supposed to be a quick in and out trip for his brothers wedding turns into Wyatt falling in love with not only his home town but also the feisty pool playing beauty that absolutely hates him and the rest of the Ford family! The question is can Wyatt finally stand up to his father and uncle, save Cold Springs and just maybe prove to Hazel that not all Fords suck?
The Wrong Bridesmaid was just the perfect book for me, I loved absolutely every moment of this sassy, banter filled insta love romcom, with all of the town drama throw into the mix! This was a super cute fast paced easy read that had me hooked right from Hazel and Wyatt’s very first very entertaining meeting. One of the best things about reading a Lauren Landish book is that she always packs in the laughs, the chemistry and some very entertaining small town drama, all of which can be found in bucket loads in this book!
Both Wyatt and Hazel were amazing, I really enjoyed getting to follow their relationship grow and getting to see them both grow as individuals in the process. Hazel was such a boss leading lady! She was one sassy, sharped tongued, pool playing boss lady! I loved that she was son confident and never backed down. Not only was she a sass pot that cracked me up but her devotion to helping her family and saving her town made me love her character to bits. But gosh did our hero just melt my heart! I loved Wyatt to absolute bits! This guy was the perfect hero, he knew the worth of honest work and that having privilege was not always as rewarding as it would seem. I liked that he put in the hard work to make his life successful on his own terms and really without having any family backing. I really liked getting to see him falling in love with his home town again and really fighting to save it, even when it meant going against his own family. I will say that I really liked that Wyatt was able to rebuild his relationship with his family in the end.
The chemistry between Hazel and Wyatt was HOT!! These two were just perfect for each other! I loved their constant banter and bickering and really that they brought each other to life. I will say I liked that their romance had a tiny bit of this forbidden element to it and that this only made them want each other all the more. One of the things that I liked about this couple was the fact they really didn’t have any major romantic drama to take way for a cute love story.
I loved the entire town and their passion for preserving the small town charm of Cold Springs. I just loved Hazel’s family, gosh these Sullivan’s were just hilarious! I loved the Puss In Boots bar and all the weirdly inappropriately named foods! I have to say I really liked the entire family feud between the Sullivan’s and the Ford’s this was a nice change of pace which only made this book all the more entertain to read. I just adored the Ford siblings, I really hope that Wren will get her own book, things could really get interesting in her story. Also I loved how cute Winston and Avery were. Oh and can we just take a moment to appreciate Hazel’s talking parrot? I totally loved this wacky bird and all the giggles that he brought to the book! Aside from uncle Jed, all the secondary characters in this book were top notch!
The Wrong Bridesmaid is a total must read! This hilariously cute small town romance will have you in giggling at the passionate town folks, swooning at our charming hero and high-fiving our sassy heroine all while rooting on a very cute romance!

Wyatt Ford hightailed it out of Cold Springs to get away from his influential family and the unwanted privilege that came with it. Returning for his brother’s wedding dredges up every reason he left. One unexpected bright spot: a curvy knockout who slings burgers, hustles pool…and hates the last name Ford.
Hazel Sullivan is fiercely independent and happy to be maid of honor for her best friend’s wedding, but she isn’t looking for romance. Especially not with a man whose family is dividing her town into a battleground with their development plans. Fighting the family is easy. Fighting Wyatt? Not so much. Why does the enemy have to be so drop-dead gorgeous?
The sparks that fly between Hazel and Wyatt might start out as combat, but one kiss and it’s total surrender. How is a happy ever after even possible for two people with so little in common? Except, of course, for an overwhelming attraction and that growing temptation to say “I do” themselves.
