REVIEW: Their Amish Reunion by Lenora Worth

Their Amish Reunion by Lenora Worth: I so enjoyed reading Lenora Worth’s first novel in the Amish genre. This touching story is about the rekindling of one’s first love, and about how challenging it can be to regain broken trust, even among people who highly value forgiveness the way the Amish do.

Years earlier Ava Jane thought she and Jeremiah would marry. Life took a different path for them, however, when he joined the Navy SEALS after an English friend lost his life serving the Seals. When Jeremiah returns to his Amish community to make amends, he finds that Ava Jane is now the widow of Jeremiah’s childhood best friend, and that Ava Jane and others find it difficult to trust him.

Because the Amish are pacifists and do not believe in fighting or involvement in the military, joining the Navy meant he was put under the ban. Jeremiah has to work hard to prove to the community and particularly to Ava and her family, and his, that he is home to stay. He especially tries to prove this to his ailing father whom he has come home to help on the farm.

There are so many touching moments in Their Amish Reunion. I most definitely recommend this story!

Widowed single mother Ava Jane Graber can’t believe her eyes. Her first love is back in Lancaster County. Years ago, Jeremiah did the unthinkable: left the Amish–and her–for the Navy SEALs. Now the prodigal hero wants redemption from his community, his family and from the woman he never forgot. For the ex-soldier, becoming Ava’s husband is his ultimate mission.
