Under the Mistletoe by Katherine Garbera: Penelope, Penny, Devlin just wanted to get away. Being alone for Christmas wasn’t such a bad thing after all. There would be no one to Under-the-Mistletoepretend about and bonus, you can do whatever you want, whenever you want. Then there was the extra bonus of being able to see her best friend as well. So what if she didn’t have a job, or a boyfriend, or that her ex was lower than pond scum?

Will Spaulding liked control, a little too much some might say. What he didn’t like was holidays. Christmas was the hardest. He missed his parents though they had been gone for so long at this point, and even though his ex wasn’t anything to write home about, he missed her as well. Though what he really missed was just having some one in his life and at this time of year when every one is partnered off, it was hard, really and truly hard.

This Christmas was going to prove to be interesting when thanks to a flying iPhone Penny and Will meet and experience lust at first sight. But both of these two are damaged, perhaps more than “normal” people. So with a two week agreement in hand what is to happen when perhaps two weeks just isn’t enough?

Ms. Garbera takes us back to just outside Park City in the next book in this series. This can be read as a stand-alone though and does hold it’s own. It moves quickly and while the romance moves fast it does give us a bit into the tortured head of Will and the more levelheadedness of Penny. The descriptions used through out the story allow for the reader to visualize what is really occurring.

If you are interested in reading something with a fast paced fairly down and dirty romance with a bit of a labored past, Under the Mistletoe by Katherine Garbera is for you.

A red-hot festive fling!

Two weeks of no-strings naughtiness. That’s all wealthy businessman Will Spalding wants for Christmas. That’s all he ever wants from a relationship. He didn’t expect to find it at the Lars Usten Lodge in snowy Utah, until the cute little blonde next door almost whacked him in the head with her cell phone.

Hooking up with a handsome stranger is exactly what event planner Penny Devlin needs to put her obnoxious ex out of her mind forever. In fact, Will may just be the best Christmas present she’s ever given herself! But as the holidays work their magic, Penny realizes Will has found a place in her heart, not just her bed. How can she carry on, knowing he’s determined to walk away when their two weeks are up?
