Unwrapping His New York Innocent by Heidi Rice is very, very fun, sensational and wonderfully 
Christmassy tale that includes just about every aspect I love in a Heidi Rice story.
Alex and Ellie are worlds apart and when they meet Ellie has just socked a guest at Alex’s annual Halloween party right in the nose! Intrigued by little Ellie from the vert first moment it makes absolute sense their worlds collide and combust. As Alex is normally a player he has absolutely no hesitation in rocking up to Ellie’s work in his helicopter and whisking her away for Thanksgiving weekend in his luxurious holiday home. The weekend was so amazing he recommends they continue their time together and call it a day once Christmas is over.
But hey, it wouldn’t be a Heidi Rice story if there wasn’t some sort of drama in the mix. There’s many a mystery to solve. Where is Alex’s best friend’s little sister? She’s been missing since she was a baby and what does this have to do with Ellie or Alex? Why is Alex estranged from his large boisterous and loving family? How does Ellie go from slinging drinks across a bar to becoming a billionaire? Why has Alex’s best friend Roman become so elusive recently. Why is Roman not sure if he’ll torture Alex first or kill him first when they see each other next. What are Alex and Ellie going to do once Christmas Day arrives? Why is Alex going to self sabotage the best thing that’s ever happened to him, not once, but twice.
In between a truck ton of bonking Ellie and Alex fall in love and I loved it.
