REVIEW: Unwrapping the Castelli Secret by Caitlin Crews

Unwrapping the Castelli Secret by Caitlin Crews is the first part in Secret Heirs of Billionaires series. Five years ago, Lily Holloway walked away from a car crash, turning her back on the forbidden passion she shared with her stepbrother, Rafael Castelli. Nothing could make Lily return to the irresistible Italian’s demanding world.

Now, when their paths cross again, Lily is desperate to retain her freedom and claims amnesia has blocked her memories of him. Yet all deception is quickly burnt away by the incredible attraction that still simmers between them.

But he’s found her, and she knows Rafael will soon discover her greatest secret…their son!

Unwrapping the Castelli Secret  by Caitlin Crews was a well written romance leaning towards the unconventional based on the characterization and story.

The romance was angst ridden, intense and passionate. Rafael is a reformed playboy who changed a lot when he thought he lost Lily in a car accident. He made a lot of mistakes and I could not warm upto him because of the way he had treated Lily in the past. To his credit he does love Lily very deeply because of the way he mourns and tortures himself over her supposed death. My main problem was his cheating in the beginning of their relationship. Lily is caring heroine who has spine and though it takes her time, she does learn to be dependent on only herself.

It may work with readers looking for something new in Presents but may not sit well with the readers who like predictability in their Presents. overall, I personally enjoyed Unwrapping the Castelli Secret  by Caitlin Crews.
