REVIEW: Wicked Attraction by Megan Hart

Wicked Attraction by Megan Hart is book two in The Protector series and should not be read as a standalone. At the end of the first book, Nina takes another high paying case and when she finds that her client is Ewan, the story ends. Wicked Attraction picks up with Nina working with Ewan again, while fighting her emotions for him and keeping the danger at bay.

Nina is trying to stay professional but being in close proximity with the person who broke your heart, takes inner strength. Working with Ewan is the hardest think Nina has ever done and all they seem to do is fight.

“I believed in you, Ewan. I gave you everything, and you took it, but everything you gave me…was a lie.”

Ewan is doing everything he can to show Nina that he made a mistake. He wants her with him and willing to do anything to get a second chance with her. But when they find out that it’s Nina that’s in danger this time, and by someone close to her, it might be too late for them.

During their time, together, Nina is having glitches in the tech and Ewan is seeing just how dangerous it is. There are times when Nina blanks out and doesn’t recognize Ewan, but without the upgrades she needs, it won’t be long before she ceases to exit. Will Ewan reconsider and get her the upgrades she needs in time?

In this book, Nina is more emotional and in tune with her feelings, which is a pleasant change from how she was in the beginning. She’s a bit more in touch with her human side. The villain of the story was a bit easy to guess. I knew right away. Also, even though I’m enjoying this series, I do think these books are too long. Lots of push and pull between Ewan and Nina and about the same issue. Other than that, it was interesting to see where the author took these two and why. Wicked Attraction will leave readers with an intense cliffhanger and with the fate of Ewan and Nina’s relationship hanging by a thread.
