Wicked Reunion by Michelle A. Valentine
Childhood sweethearts Jared and London were the perfect couple, truly meant for one another. But when tragedy strikes in Jared’s life, he goes off the rails, leaving London behind so she wouldn’t have to deal with his mess.
Now, five years later, neither one is over the other, but their lives couldn’t be more separate. London married his brother Wes, and their marriage isn’t exactly on stable ground, and Jared is on his way to becoming a rock star for the band Wicked White.
But when Jared comes back to town for the first time in years, they might just find it impossible to stay away from one another.
I really do like the writing and passion Valentine creates between Jared and London. They’re so adorable together, truly a strong couple, but that was when they were young. Five years later I’m expected to believe they’re still perfect. But the back and forth between past and present just doesn’t work for me.
To me, the past and present all throughout just created a rocky story line. Rather than one strong, well-developed story line I’m reading two partially developed story lines, making what could be an enjoyable and strong second chances weak.
And despite the reasoning, her marriage to Wes is just weird to me. And it is especially annoying with how little Jared fights for his love, both times. He was whiny and just never proved himself a hero or worthy of forgiveness. I did like London, though, even if I don’t think she was given enough room to prove herself. Compared to the others, she felt real to me, and I appreciate her in the story. For second chance readers, definitely give Wicked Reunion a try.

College sweethearts London Uphill and Jared Kraft were inseparable. He was a rising baseball star with a promising future, and she seemed destined to become “Mrs. Kraft.” Then a tragic night and a series of devastating mistakes caused Jared to walk away from his life, leaving London without any explanation and tearing the couple apart.
Five years later, Jared has reinvented himself by putting down the bat and picking up a guitar to play for the red-hot band Wicked White. In all that time, London hasn’t gotten over her forever love—or the pain—despite seeking solace in the arms of the one man no one dreamed she’d run to.
When Wicked White’s lead singer goes MIA, Jared finds the time—and courage—to return to his hometown and face the mess he made. He’s shocked at how London’s life has changed, yet he’s determined to prove their love is worth fighting for. Is this breakup too big for any hope of a reunion tour? Or can London open her heart to Jared once again?

Thanks for your review.

Thanks for the review, Olivia. This would be iffy for me because she’s still married to his brother during this book, right?
Olivia
She is, which I’m not a fan of either. But, for her, the marriage is over so the fact that she is legally married doesn’t hit as hard. But still, I’m with you on the iffy part.
