Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey: Christmas time in New York is always a sensory over load, but for Stella it really only highlights just how behind she is in where she had hoped to be in life by now, so when she scoffed out loud at the outrageous window dressing of the famous Vivant store, she really didn’t think she would garner an audience. However when the cute bowtie wearing stranger asks her for her opinion on the window, Stella cant help but be honest in saying how awful it really looks, what she didn’t expect was to get offered a job out of this strange encounter.

While a career as a window dresser was never something Stella though she would want, she is in no place to turn down a fresh start, especially when her boss looks as good as Aiden does. With her luck finally looking up, Stella is determined to make the most of this new opportunity, all she needs to do is keep things completely professional between herself and her cute boss, well this is proving to be a lot harder than it sounds, especially seeing as Aiden is determined to woo her right into his arms…

I love reading holiday romcoms, they always have a guaranteed cuteness about them, add in the fact that it is a Tessa Bailey book and you know that you are in for a treat. I really enjoyed this sunshine meets grump, work place romcom. There were loads of cute moments and more steam than I had been expecting. I will say I had no idea the job of a window dresser could be so fun, but Bailey has given me a new appreciation for window dressers.

It was hard not to like both of our main characters, both Aiden and Stella had such great back stories with so much dept that it made it very easy to root them on and want them to find a happily ever after. While this was a holiday romcom, I loved that Bailey still made sure that her characters felt real and relatable. Stella was a really easy to love grumpy leading lady, I really enjoyed getting to see her have a second chance at making it in life. She new that this was a chance that she could not pass up on and our girl worked for her spot as window dresser, I loved her passion and all the effort that she put into everything that she did. As for our hero, well it was hard not to love the sweet Aiden. I mean how can you not love this buttoned up bowtie wearing hottie with a dirty mouth unlike any other? I just loved our hero, he was instantly smitten with Stella, and our guy was ready to put in the leg work to get his girl.

It was hard not to love the insta love vibe that Aiden had when he first meet Stella and getting to see this attraction grow only made me enjoy this book all the more. I loved their chemistry and the light playful banter between them. I will say the steam factor in this book was a lot higher than I had expected, but in a good way. While this was not my favourite book by Bailey, I still really enjoyed reading Window Shopping. If you are looking to add a steamy cute holiday romcom to you list then this is definitely worth checking out!

Two weeks before Christmas and all through Manhattan, shop windows are decorated in red and green satin.
I’m standing alone in front of the famous Vivant department store, when a charming man named Aiden asks my opinion of the décor.

It’s a tragedy in tinsel, I say, unable to lie.
He asks for a better idea with a twinkle in his eye.
Did I know he owned the place? No. He put me on the spot.
Now I’m working for that man, trying to ignore that he’s hot.
But as a down on her luck girl with a difficult past, I know an opportunity when I see one—and I have to make it last.

I’ll put my heart and soul into dressing his holiday windows.
I’ll work without stopping. And when we lose the battle with temptation, I’ll try and remember I’m just window shopping.
