Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey: Being the daughter of a famous rockstar really isn’t Melody’s jam, all the flashing lights and groupies, yeah not for her. While Mel prefers the quite life of restoring old books, she cant help but wonder if just maybe she needs to shake things up a bit, so when Beat ask her for a bit of help she really can’t turn him down. After all he is the son to the other half of her mothers famous rock duo. All Beat and Melody need to do is try and convince their mothers to put aside their almost 30 year old feud and perform together one last time. The only catch being they only have a few weeks to get Steel Birds back together while having a film crew following them around…should be a piece of cake right?

Wreck The Halls was one of the cutest and most fun Christmas romcom reads that I have read in awhile. This book was cute, quirky, funny and easy to get invested in, all things that I love about reading a Tessa Bailey novel. Im always a fan of a good friends to lovers book but Bailey upped the ante with adding a quirky Parent Trap twist in this book. This was the kind of book that would make a total holiday movie hit, with sassy rock star divas, adorable lead characters and so many laughs you will not be able to control yourself.

Melody and Beat were just the cutest, these two could not have be more perfect for each other. Where Melody was a bit shy and reserved Beat was outgoing and the life of the party. They balanced each other out to perfection. I just adored Melody, she was more on the quite side, happy to really just be her best self without all the fan fair. I really enjoyed getting to see her come out of her shell and largely kind of find her place outside of her famous mothers shadow. Where as our hero Beat really leaned into his mothers fame, using it to help raise funds for non profit organisations. He really is a charmer with a heart of gold. I loved that he wanted to make a difference in the world.

The connection between Beat and Melody really goes back to the first time that Beat stood up for Melody while the media were giving her a hard time. Fast forward to the current moment and this little zing has only grown into a more palpable current. I loved the fact that Melody never judges Beat and she always looks at things with an open mind, even when he drops a bit of a bomb on her. I loved the fact that even though they had incredible sexual chemistry their relationship grew strong because of their friendship. They were had each others backs and understood each other in away others couldn’t. I have to say the thing I loved the most was how they created their own little following who were all shipping ‘Belody’.

As for Trina and Octavia, well these two rock legends were just gold! I loved all their sassy banter. They could not have been more different with Octavia being this polished and posh socialite and Trina being a brawling hippy. I loved getting to see them together and all the antics that they got up to, really these two were a hoot to read! I do wish we would have gotten a bit more of these two but at the same time I wouldn’t want to give up any of out Melody and Beat time.

I absolutely loved reading Wreck The Halls, this quirky cute, friends to lovers, forced proximity, rock and roll, reality style, Christmas romance will have you giggling non stop with all the Santa brawls, spic snow ball fights and one really cute love story. A total Christmas Romance must read!

Melody Gallard may be the daughter of music royalty, but her world is far from glamorous. She spends her days restoring old books and avoiding the limelight (one awkward tabloid photo was enough, thanks). But when a producer offers her a lot of money to reunite her mother’s band on live tv, Mel begins to wonder if it’s time to rattle the cage, shake up her quiet life… and see him again. The only other person who could wrangle the rock and roll divas.

Beat Dawkins, the lead singer’s son, is Melody’s opposite—the camera loves him, he could charm the pants off anyone, and his mom is not a potential cult leader. Still, they might have been best friends if not for the legendary feud that broke up the band. When they met as teenagers, Mel felt an instant spark, but it’s nothing compared to the wild, intense attraction that builds as they embark on a madcap mission to convince their mothers to perform one last show.

While dealing with rock star shenanigans, a 24-hour film crew, brawling Santas, and mobs of adoring fans, Mel starts to step out of her comfort zone. With Beat by her side, cheering her on, she’s never felt so understood. But Christmas Eve is fast approaching, and a decades-old scandal is poised to wreck everything—the Steel Birds reunion, their relationships with their mothers, and their newfound love.
