Spotlight&Giveaway

Hi Marie and welcome to HJ! We’re so excited to chat with you about your new release, FAMOUS!

Thanks so much for having me!

To start off, can you please tell us a little bit about this book?:

FAMOUS is the final book in my eight-book Quantum Series, and is the first time I’ve officially ENDED a series! I’m super excited to get Marlowe Sloane’s long-awaited book out to readers today and to hear what they think of how the series comes to an end.

Please share your favorite lines or quote(s) from this book:

The realizations make me dizzy with lust and desire and something much bigger, something so big, it fills every part of me with longing. For what, I don’t know, but it’s a feeling I’ve never had before.

Touching her this way is like a dream come true, a dream I never dared allow myself to have before she looked over her shoulder at me and said, “Please.”

I take it easy with her, giving her vanilla when everything in me wants it kinky. Never more so than with her, but not now. Maybe not ever, but definitely not now.

I could unleash the beast with her, because I know she’d handle it the way most women wouldn’t be able to. Marlowe isn’t most women, and I’ve always known she could handle me—all of me—in bed.

No one gets all of me. Ever. But Marlowe… She might be the exception to the rule.

What inspired this book?

Marlowe has been a central character in the series from the beginning, and I always intended to save her story for last.

How did you ‘get to know’ your main characters? Did they ever surprise you?

I’ve gotten to know Marlowe over the last five years as I wrote the seven prior books in the Quantum Series. She’s always been at the heart of the series, and I couldn’t wait to write her book. Marlowe has been a huge star since she was a teenager, and has grappled with the many challenges that come along with fame.

What was your favorite scene to write?

I’ve kept a lot of this book on lockdown with the readers, because my readers HATE spoilers, so I can’t really say without giving things away. Suffice to say there’s a scene in which Marlowe and her love are reunited later in the book that I really loved writing.

What was the most difficult scene to write?

I wrote a bonus epilogue featuring the wedding of one of the couples, and knowing that was the last time I’d write in the Quantum universe was very emotional for me!

Would you say this book showcases your writing style or is it a departure for you?

While the Quantum Series is erotic romance and has a BDSM storyline running through it, in many ways it speaks to my core store of family, whether it’s the family you’re born into or the one you choose for yourself. The latter is the case with Quantum. They have created this family that works and plays together and their bond is unbreakable.

What do you want people to take away from reading this book?

FAMOUS opens with Marlowe being mistreated by a romantic partner. I thought it was important to show that domestic violence doesn’t discriminate. It can happen to anyone. I hope other women who’ve experienced what Marlowe goes through will appreciate how she confronts this difficult moment in her life.

What are you currently working on? What other releases do you have planned?

I’m finishing up Trouble After Dark, Gansett book 21, which is out on Christmas Eve. I’m also looking forward to the release of Fatal Accusation on December 17. Two big weeks at the end of the year for the Gansett Island and Fatal Series.

Thanks for blogging at HJ!

Book Info:

I thought I’d finally met the man of my dreams…

Marlowe
I’ve planned this night for weeks, down to the last detail. I want it to be perfect. Bringing someone new into my private life is not something I do lightly, having learned the hard way over the years that celebrity has a dark downside that I go out of my way to avoid whenever possible.

But he is different. We’ve been together for months and the time is right to take this next step with him.

It doesn’t take long for me to realize I’ve made a huge mistake trusting this man.

Before things go from bad to worse, I have the presence of mind to know I’m in big, big trouble.
