In Christmas Eve Delivery by Connie Cox, Nurse Desere comes into a sleepy little Texan town for a fresh new start. Pregnant and alone, she only has a job to look forward to in a new town. Dr Jordan Hart hired Desere as his Nurse Practitioner because she can give the people of Piney Woods what he can’t: compassion and care.  While he can competently treat their physical illnesses, he avoids the emotional aspect of their cases. How can he help them when he can’t even help himself?

CEDDesere raises all Jordan’s protective instincts and he can’t help falling for her with every little happiness she brings in his life. Will he finally leave behind his unfortunate past behind him and move on with Desere..??

“I want to make love to you more than anything in the world. But this is
about more than me and you, Deseré. This is about James, too.” He put his
hand on her belly, feeling a tiny foot or maybe a hand move under his palm.
“A child needs a steady father. A father he can count on. A father who will
always be there for him, no matter what he does, no matter how he screws
up. A father who will love him for exactly who he is and not with any
preconceived ideas about who he should be.”

Christmas Eve Delivery by Connie Cox was a really well written story with an extremely sweet romance. Desere was a brave heroine who had the guts to face any problem life threw at her and she was so perfect for the hero. Jordan was not perfect and had been living in guilt on something that had happened in his past. He was a tortured hero and Desere managed to heal him and bring happiness in his life. I would have prefered a little more conflict towards the and and the climax of the novel was too simple for my liking. The medical aspects were very few and uninteresting as compared to other medical romances. Nevertheless,Christmas Eve Delivery completely managed to hold my interest with lovable characters and an unexpected story.

“What do you want for Christmas?” she asked him.
He was nonplussed. How could he tell her he already had more than he
could have ever expected?
So he shrugged and turned the question back to her. “What do you want?”
“You.” She said it matter-of-factly. “All of you, heart, mind, body and
soul.’
I want you, too, he thought
back at her. But he couldn’t say it, no matter
how hard he tried.
After a few moments of silence she touched his arm, gave him a
tremulous smile then walked away, with a big sigh echoing in her wake.

Overall, Christmas Eve Delivery is the author’s finest work and would be loved by not only her fans but everyone who loves a sweet and cute romance with a great story.
