A Brush with Love by Mazey Eddings: For Harper it is all about making sure that she is at the top of her game, starting with getting placed in the top oral surgical program. After putting in all those late night study sessions and acing her exams the last thing Harper has time for now is a distraction, especially one in the form of Dan.

Dan just doesn’t have that same drive and love for teeth as Harper but with a family legacy hanging over his head he can’t help but follow through with dental school. However Dan can’t help but find his interest drifting more and more to Harper. Convinced that they can at least make a cute friendship out of their situation neither can help these new budding feelings from forming. But the question is can Dan convince Harper that taking a chance on love is worth the small distraction?

A Brush With Love was just the cutest little insta love romcom, I loved the easy follow of this novel and that we get a sneak peak into the world of dentistry. As much as this was a romance I really liked that Mazey kept everything real and authentic, we got to see the anxiety that Harper faced while seeing the pressure that came with have a family legacy to contend with for Dan.

Both main characters were amazing, I loved seeing the two of them together and that they actually had a lot in similar. Harper was so determined and dedicated to being the best version of herself. I loved her drive and passion which was largely influenced by the loss of her mother. Where as Dan was definitely not interested in dental work at all in fact he was not very good at it. My heart broke for Dan having to follow through with dentistry only to appease his late father, if this wasn’t bad enough he had to face a lot of bullying from fellow students. I will say that I really liked the moment he had with his mother that largely set him free.

A Brush With Love is a great debut novel by Mazey, this book holds a lot of promise of great books to come from this up and coming author. I would definitely recommend checking out this minty fresh romance.

Harper is anxiously awaiting placement into a top oral surgery residency program when she crashes (literally) into Dan. Harper would rather endure a Novocaine-free root canal than face any distractions, even one this adorable.

A first-year dental student with a family legacy to contend with, Dan doesn’t have the same passion for pulling teeth that Harper does. Though he finds himself falling for her, he is willing to play by Harper’s rules.

So with the greatest of intentions and the poorest of follow-throughs, the two set out to be “just friends.” But as they get to know each other better, Harper fears that trading fillings for feelings may make her lose control and can’t risk her carefully ordered life coming undone, no matter how drool-worthy Dan is.

Blood, gore, and extra-long roots? No problem. The idea of falling in love? Torture.
