A Cowboy Firefighter for Christmas by Kim Redford, is a feel good story that will make you wish you A Cowboy Firefighter for Christmasknew the characters personally, and make you wish that you were able to transport yourself right into the middle of the story itself. First of all, the title says it all. A cowboy who is a firefighter….that right there had my attention from the very start. Cowboys and firefighters; two of my favorite types of heroes. Combining them together in one story was pure gold for me.

When Misty first meets Trey, it really isn’t an ideal first meeting. Trey runs in front of her car and deputizes her as a volunteer firefighter. Together they put out a fire, which had the potential to become a nightmare.

Trey prayed for a miracle, and he got one. The moment he sees Misty, he recognizes her as his Christmas angel. In fact, he tells everyone he knows that Misty is a Christmas angel and she’s going to bring luck to the town. Only, Misty’s job is what brought her to his town and she has some secrets to why she’s really there.

What I loved about Misty…was how strong she was. She has a fear of fire and when you read her story you will understand why, but that doesn’t stop her from lending help when the town needs it. Usually, if someone had a traumatic experience with fire, they would run the opposite way, but not Misty. Nope, she puts her head up and does what she needs to. She even goes further and tries to figure out exactly who is causing the fires.

Another thing I loved about this story was the town. Wildcat Bluff County is full of Southern charm that is realistic and welcoming. The people are friendly, the stores are quaint, and the mannerisms are right on. Even though Misty is an outsider, the town, and the people, make her feel a sense of belonging; one in which she desperately needs.

A Cowboy Firefighter for Christmas was an enjoyable read that easily put me in the Christmas spirit. I look forward to more books by this author.

Trey Duvall, a rancher and local firefighter, is out of luck. His ranch has suffered from several ‘accidental’ fires and there is no explanation in sight. All he wants for the upcoming holiday is to get to the bottom of this mystery, but what he gets instead is hotter than any ranch fire when he meets city-girl Misty Reynolds.
