A Kiss for a Kiss by Helena Hunting: Jake Masterson could have had the professional hockey career players dream of but he gave it all up to be the best dad that he could be to his little girl Queenie, but now that Queenie is all grown up and on her way to getting married, Jake finally has a bit of time for himself. Now this would be great if only he didn’t go and fall for the one person that is so off-limits; his soon to be son-in-laws older sister Hanna.

“Every time I kiss her it’s the same. It’s like the first bite of a piece of cake snuck from the pantry when no one is looking. The delicious anticipation of having something you’ve waited for, only to discover it’s infinitely more decadent than you expected.”

There is just something about Jake Masterson that calls to a part of Hanna’s soul that she can’t deny. With her son getting married to Jake’s daughter, Hanna and Jake find themselves working closely to help give their kids the best wedding they could have ever asked for, but what happens when their attraction to each becomes to much to resist? A few very steamy romps that is what! However with their lives being on opposite ends of the country both knew nothing more could come of their steamy fling, that is until Hanna realises that she is pregnant! With this being her last chance to finally experience motherhood and not have to hide in the shadows will she be able to make this unusual situation work with Jake?

“You were never just the ride, Jake. You should know that by now. And you were never just a secret I was keeping.”

A Kiss For A Kiss was just the cutest! I loved Hanna the ‘monster’ right from the moment we got to meet her in the previous book and could not wait to read her story, and let me tell it was just mushy goodness! Both Jake and Hanna were amazing, both having had to sacrifice for their kids and now finally able to live for themselves.

“I feel like we’re playing with fire tonight. The kind I wouldn’t mind pouring a gallon of gasoline on just to watch it burn brighter.”

Watching Hanna and Jake build their relationship has to have been one of the cutest stories that I have read to date. With both of them having been hurt in the past it really took a while for them to build trust and the bond that they formed while planning the wedding, but boy oh boy was it worth all the complications! I really like that there was no real major drama or hang ups and that everyone rallied around Hanna and Jake once the news of the baby came about.

“I thought I had everything I needed, until they came along. And gave my heart a home.”

A Kiss For A Kiss has to be one of the cutest friends to lovers/ second chance romance novels that I have read by Hunting. I really liked that these two characters got a second chance to enjoy the family experience in a more conventional way, even though it might not have started that way. I have loved all of Hunting’s books and this is no different, I would highly recommend reading this book!

I’m Jake Masterson, single dad, and the General Manager of Seattle’s NHL team. I walked away from a career as a player so I could raise my daughter. For the last twenty-plus years, Queenie has been my main priority, but now she’s getting married.

And there’s a small complication.

A beautiful, sexy complication named Hanna.

She’s my son-in-law’s older sister. Or at least that’s how they were raised. The truth is a little more scandalous than that.

I’ve been drawn to her from the moment I laid eyes on her. And I spent months trying to keep a lid on that attraction.

Until we finally give in.

It starts with one searing kiss, but quickly ends with us between the sheets—and in the shower, and the hot tub, you get the picture—and turns into months of sneaking around.

Here’s the problem: we live on opposite ends of the country. It can’t be anything but casual. And as I’ve already said…it’s complicated.

But when Hanna finds out she’s pregnant…suddenly things get real serious.

Helena Hunting is a wonderful author that never disappoints & this book is no exception!! Once you start reading Jake & Hanna’s story you’ll be so engrossed you won’t want to put it down!! As I said I love all of her books but it was especially nice reading about a mature couple in their 40’s. Jake & Hanna are planning Queenie & Kings wedding & finally act on their attraction to each other. Hanna doesn’t want to make it public because of her already complicated relationship with King/Ryan. However she’s going to have to tell him after she finds out she’s pregnant. It’s a long, emotional journey for all involved to get to their HEA. It’s got all the feels & it’s great seeing all the other characters in the book as well. You definitely need to read this book!! I received an arc from the author for an honest review.
