In All Mine (Dirty Rich #8) by Lisa Renee Jones, Reid Maxwell might come across as a ruthless, overbearing man when it comes to business. And he used to be cold as ice when it came to personal relationships. But Carrie West, the woman of his dreams, changed all that. Now Reid is doing something he never dreamed of: proposing to his stunning girlfriend. And if all goes according to plan, they will start their married lives sooner rather than later. But old family scars and threats from his past have Reid wondering if Carrie would be safer if they part ways. Call him selfish, but there is no way he’s going to be able to give her up. He’ll just have to do what he does best–win the battle against his enemies.

‘Nothing is going to get in the way of making this woman my wife.’

Carrie knows her relationship has come a long way with Reid in a shockingly short amount of time. She’s proud of the allegiance they’ve formed at their families’ companies but it’s their personal lives that has her so happy she’s somewhere in the stratosphere. Of course their moments of happiness and contentment don’t last. But Carrie knows that together, she and Reid can face down any problem. As long as they communicate and remain open and honest. That’s why, when her fiance gets all overprotective and alphahole-ish, Carrie concentrates on finding a way to end the war they are facing and prove to Reid that she is capable of taking care of herself–and their relationship–in the process.

“Now that you have that ring on your finger, now that I’m your future husband, do I get to finally use those cuffs on you?”
“Yes, Reid, you can. As long as you remember I will give back as good as I get.”
His lips curve again. “That’s what I was looking for.”

Personal vendettas interrupted a newly engaged couple’s bliss in All Mine, the latest scintillating Dirty Rich book by Lisa Renee Jones.

“You really think you can handle just how dark I can get?”
“I know I can, but if you still need to ask that question, we have a problem. All or nothing, Reid.”
I lace her fingers with mine. “All. We’re going to war with [him] and we’ll find out if you can handle what that means.”

I’ve fallen for each couple I’ve read about in this series so far and I have to say that Carrie and Reid’s romance was just so much fun to explore further in All Mine. I love that Lisa Renee Jones really has given every couple their own challenges to face and their own unique dynamic. With Reid and Carrie, it’s been interesting to watch their power struggle, as they are both very independent, strong-willed, opinionated people. Which of course has meant there were some rather, shall we say, “fiery” debates between them regarding their differences of opinion. (lol) It was never done in a condescending way, though. Instead it seemed quite natural based on Carrie and Reid’s distinct personalities.

There were a lot of personal issues and family history to overcome for Reid and Carrie in this story. And I’m happy to say that while there were obviously some tough times that threatened to pull them apart, they both watched out for the other and became a stronger couple by the end. I will mention that as you would expect from a LRJ book, there was a ton of passion and uber sexy love scenes–even with a bit of light BDSM play. The wonderfully detailed emotions Carrie and Reid experienced as well as their intimates moments ranged from intense to playful to tender and caring, giving us the complete picture of everything the couple dealt with after their engagement.

The sequel to Reid and Carrie’s romance we first saw in Dirty Rich Obsession, All Mine was another winner by Lisa Renee Jones which showed us new sides to our happy couple, all while their business and family lives spiraled out of control.

In this lifetime there is one person who will own you, who will know you, who will understand you like no one else could possibly understand you. That person for me is Carrie. I didn’t want to love her. I didn’t want to need her. But now that she’s my world, no one is going to take her from me. Yet the minute I propose, that’s exactly what the universe tries to do. It tries to take her from me.

I have never read Lisa Renee Jones, but you keep making me want to pick her up!!! I really would love to pick up this series. I like that she makes each book of hers so dynamic and different.

LOL! I’ll convince you to give her books a try one of these days! πŸ˜‰ But seriously, she does have some great couples with tumultuous relationships. I think I’ve said it before, but it reminds me of J Kenner and Shayla Black. Steamy, emotional, kind of angsty in places, but super emotional.
