Always Only You by Chloe Liese: Frankie has had her share of hurt so now she has developed a way to protect herself, just don’t let people close to her. This becomes increasingly hard when the annoyingly charming Ren keeps trying to worm his way under her armor. From the moment hockey star Ren met the supposed grump Frankie, he knew there was something special about her and as a man who knows what he wants, Ren was damn sure he wanted something with Frankie. Only problem is she is completely off limits, you see Frankie and Ren work together, nevertheless Ren is a patient man and Frankie is a woman worth waiting for, after all she was destined for much bigger things that just working as part of his hockey team. It’s now up to Ren to show Frankie that he is not just some guy, he is her perfect guy, but the question is will she let him in?

“All I see is Frankie, Frankie who’s staring back at me, and it’s like free-falling through time and space, lost in the vortex of her gaze.”

OMG! This novel was pure gold! I absolutely loved every single second of Ren and Frankie’s journey. I so love a good grump/sunshine pairing and Ren made the ray of sunshine to Frankie’s grump. I guarantee by the time you are done with this novel you will be adding your own personal Ren to your Christmas wish list.

“I kiss Frankie and taste hope.”

Both characters were stand out, like next level stand out. I can not tell you how many times I swooned over Ren and his love for Shakespeare. Ren was truly the perfect book boyfriend, he was like a warm cinnamon bun on a cold winter day. Now on to our brilliant female lead, I absolutely adored Frankie! I have to say Chloe has truly done an outstanding job with portraying Frankie and the struggles that she faces living with autism and rheumatoid arthritis. The thing that I loved the most was that Frankie did not let this hold her back, she was still a kick butt woman.

“Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks Within his bending sickle’s compass come; Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks, But bears it out even to the edge of doom.”

The chemistry between Ren and Frankie was unbelievably cute! The thing I loved the most was when they had to play house for the weekend. It was so cute seeing the two in this domestic setting, with games on the beach with Frankie’s dog.

Always Only You is one novel that any and all romance reader will absolutely love. This opposites attract romance will have your heart melting right from the get go.

Book Info:

Publication: August 4th 2020 | Chloe Liese | Bergman Brothers #2

Get ready for an emotional ride filled with laughter, longing, and a sweet slow-burn in this sports romance about love’s power not in spite of difference, but because of it.

Ren

The moment I met her, I knew Frankie Zeferino was someone worth waiting for. Deadpan delivery, secret heart of gold, and a rare one-dimpled smile that makes my knees weak, Frankie has been forbidden since the day she and I became coworkers, meaning waiting has been the name of my game—besides, hockey, that is.

I’m a player on the team, she’s on staff, and as long as we work together, dating is off-limits. But patience has always been my virtue. Frankie won’t be here forever—she’s headed for bigger, better things. I just hope that when she leaves the team and I tell her how I feel, she won’t want to leave me behind, too.

Frankie

I’ve had a problem at work since the day Ren Bergman joined the team: a six foot three hunk of happy with a sunshine smile. I’m a grumbly grump and his ridiculously good nature drives me nuts, but even I can’t entirely ignore that hot tamale of a ginger with icy eyes, the perfect playoff beard, and a body built for sin that he’s annoyingly modest about.

Before I got wise, I would have tripped over myself to get a guy like Ren, but with my diagnosis, I’ve learned what I am to most people in my life—a problem, not a person. Now, opening my heart to anyone, no matter how sweet, is the last thing I’m prepared to do.

Thanks for the review, Nish! I’ve read a few of Chloe’s books, but haven’t gotten to this series yet!
